Here is an interesting opportunity that you might like; I have been contacted by Natalie Gecht who works at a production company that’s doing a documentary on LEGO fans. But not just an LEGO fan, they are looking for super-fans! And only in California (no fair!). Interested? Or know someone who would? Read on! 🙂
Essentially, the producers are looking for people who are enthusiastic, have an incredible LEGO collection, and who take being a LEGO fan to the next level. And, obviously, they can’t be camera-shy. Natalie promises that the person(s) chosen to be part of the documentary will get to have some amazing experiences! Filming begins in two weeks!
Those interested to be part of this LEGO TV show need to meet the following criteria, so please read carefully:
- LEGO super-fan
- Completely obsessed with all things LEGO
- Have an impressive personal LEGO collection, or
- Have a collection of rare LEGO memorabilia
- Between the ages of 18-35
- Lives in Southern California
If you meet the criteria and you would like to be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity to share your LEGO obsession on a TV show for a major cable network, send in a selection of photos and a brief explanation of why you should be picked to legocasting@gmail.com. You can also nominate others if you know they meet the criteria and may like to participate. I assume this will be something like the Blocumentary directed by Jess Gibson that featured LEGO fans from the Pacific Northwest. But of course I could be wrong… Natalie didn’t share specifics…
What do you think? Are you planning to apply? Don’t be shy! This is an awesome opportunity! Or do you know someone who would be a perfect fit? Feel free to share as the search is on, and I promised Natalie to help out finding the awesome LEGO fans they are looking for. 😉

I’m actually being interviewed in two weeks for a local public access show. I’ll be doing it with another member of our local LUG. Looking forward to sharing my passion!
Nice! It is great to see when the hobby gets some airtime! Let us know how it went! 😀
darn i don’t live in california and i’m not older then 18 🙁
DARN!! I’m on the Arizona side of the So Cal/ AZ border
aw!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was living in California like a year and a half ago! or two years, I lost count! i’m in Oregon now
Hm… don’t you have relatives accross the state-line? I think you would be a good candidate. Also, they may not mind. I think they were only looking for people in South California because that’s where the producers are, but if you are just accross the border, they might not mind. 😉
