I have been a reader here for a while, and today I thought to share with you a bit about how our own LEGO business was born, and how we became the #1 providers of personalized LEGO in the United Kingdom. It was only a short while ago when my young son and I were in our workshop together. He was sitting opposite to me playing with his LEGO, while I was engraving some pens, mirrors and other boring stuff for our business. All of a sudden I got an idea; could we use our engraving equipment to personalize LEGO? ๐
A lot of trial (and a bit of error!) later we were ready to hand out some sample personalized LEGO bricks and key-rings to friends and family to get some feedback. We were blown away with the positive comments, and that’s how our LEGO engraving company, Fab-Bricks, was born. ๐
Now that we have perfected our LEGO engraving methods, we can engrave all types of LEGO elements; LEGO bricks, LEGO minifigs and key-rings. We also make personalized LEGO cake-toppers using different minifigs such as Harry Potter, Superman, Batman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters, birthday boy and girl, etc. – all with custom engraved messages.
As we can engrave LEGO elements using pretty much any font style and type, we are able to personalize LEGO parts exactly how you want them. For example we now have available a bride & groom set which can be personalized with names, date, and a message both on the minifigures as well as on their display-stand.
One of our most popular item we carry are the personalized minifigs. You can choose the hairstyle, head, and the color of the torso and legs to make a mini version of yourself or someone you would like to surprise. Then you can add a name or message on the minifig’s torso to make it perfect.
As our company have become popular we have completed several bulk orders for thousands of LEGO key-rings as corporate giveaways (yes, we can engrave logos too!), and hundreds of personalized minifigs for LEGO themed weddings and other events.
As I mentioned we are located in the UK, but we can ship pretty much anywhere in the world. Shipping inside the UK is free, and for the rest of the world it’s just ยฃ4 regardless of the size of the order. So come on by our store at fab-bricks.com. Also, here is a short video on what we can do!
We also enjoy LEGO photography (a.k.a. “legography”) and we take fun pictures of LEGO minifigs in everyday situations. These can be seen at our Facebook Page, if you would like to check them out.
Thanks for reading our LEGO story and let me know what you think! If you have any questions about our products or what we could do for you feel free to contact me through our website, Facebook page, or just ask in the comment section below. ๐

Really cool! 8) But my Parents won’t let me buy over seas ๐
Awesome! A good customiser that’s based in the UK ๐
I’ve got one question though. Are the figures glued to the bricks?
Hi Chi-bacca,
Thanks for the comments, nothing is glued of stuck in any way.
Everything comes apart as normal
Thanks for the conformation I may order a thing or two in the future ๐
Hi guys, My birthdays in a month so I’m thinking bout what I’m gonna ask for ๐ I’m liking these sets so far:
Battle of helms deep(retiring soon)
Attack on weathertop(retiring soon)
Battle at the black gate
An unexpected gathering
Attack of the wargs
HH-87 Starhopper
The wizard battle
Mandalorian speeder
The council of Elrond
Rancor pit
Barrel escape
The goblin king battle
Any thoughts or suggestions? ๐ ( admin you don’t have to answer as I already know your opinion ๐ )
I want all of them if you only include star wars , but its ur b-day, if I knew u id get you one ๐ but I don’t so tough luck. u should get rancor pit, only if you have jabas palace, but if you don’t I don’t know ๐
I don’t have jabbas palace but it think the rancor is pretty epic and is like ยฃ25 on eBay just get one! My top ones are the battle of helms deep, battle at the black gate and attack on weathertop. Does anyone here have any of these and if so are they worth it?
The Batle of Helms Deep is a phenomonal set. See my review on it here on TBB: http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/01/lego-lord-of-the-rings-helms-deep-review/
I second that. The helms deep set is lovely. As a moc fan I bought three when on offer as the parts alone are fab if you build castles/medieval…..
I actually checked that out after my first comment, nice post by the way, and I too really like it and the scene in the movie. That’s why it’s up there on my list ๐
NINJAGO!!!!!!! really anything Ninjago is pretty epic for a birthday present!
I do not have helms dep but I do own an unexpected gathering, and whilst the former is probably better because of its size and thus more detail and stuff, if you have to choose something with a lower price tag, I reccomend an unexpected gathering. It is extremely rich in detail, has a few rare pieces, and lots of beautiful accessories, like Bilbos book. (The printing is just like on the movie. The set turned out to be my favorite ever, and I have heard multiple reviews to say the same. All the dwarves have very nice printing, and Balin to me is better then any other fig. If you are a fan of middle earth, or appreciate lots of detail I highly reccomend it. Excuse me while I go and repeatedly blame myself for taking it apart and mixing it with thousands of other pieces.
Yes I agree with the fact that every review I’ve read/watched has been positive and as you say it’s alot of people’s favourite set. The price tags even better than usual as it is ยฃ45 on amazon instead of ยฃ60!!! I would buy it if I had the money at the moment but I bought the Orc forge on discount instead and some series 11 minifigs a couple of weeks back when I didn’t know it was on sale ๐ but that said the Orc forge is awesome and was the first time I ever got a BURP and the new light brick (I have an old exo-force one) ๐
I’m also into LEGO photography. It’s fun to create and see others photographers work. Great custom work.

AWSOME RITE? There is proof that there will be a scorpion tribe, a spider tribe, and a bat tribe.
Lagravis, yes, we have talked about those already in another post on the 2014 sets. ๐
Where is that pink Gromit located?
Cool idea for a personalized gift. I know a few builders here that would like something like that, or as a prize for a building contest or group.
