Building a LEGO Christmas tree, ninja style!

I found this nice little LEGO vignette from Nannan (one of my favorite LEGO builders) the other day. The idea is very creative, and there are also some very useful LEGO building techniques to check out, especially the construction of the Christmas tree. So let’s take a look! 🙂

Here you can see Lloyd, Jay and Kai, three of the ninjas from LEGO Ninjago, dreaming about what they would like for Christmas. In the meantime, Sensei Wu, dressed as Santa, places some present under the tree (including a baby golden dragon for Lloyd – very cute). Now see the video below where Nannan shares some of the interesting building techniques.

I found the construction of the LEGO Christmas tree very impressive. It is not easy to build realistic LEGO trees in the first place (we have addressed the subject previously – see links at the end of this post), and building such a cute tree in such a small scale requires some serious design skills. Also, I like that the tree is very sturdy and won’t fall apart easily, plus it doesn’t require a whole lot of parts. This is a tree-design that you could use not just for Christmas trees, but also for other trees in your LEGO creations.
