Looks like everyone is on the LEGO craze these days due to the popularity of The LEGO Movie. I just got the following email from the KIT KAT team, which I thought to share with you as I love KIT KAT, and of course LEGO, and the KIT KAT team’s idea is just super fun. 🙂
“Dear BrickBloggers, here at KIT KAT we are huge fans of LEGO. Because nobody is better at building a great break than LEGO, except for us maybe. So during one of our occupational breaks we came up with the idea of a KIT KAT entirely made of LEGO bricks.”
“We call the result simply #LegoKITKAT and it comes with a lot of authentic details: the KIT KAT logo, a red wrapper, four chocolate fingers, layers of wafer and even a snapping sound when you break it! And even though we don’t really expect LEGO KIT KAT to hit the shops anytime soon, we gave it a stylish box anyway. But the best bit about it: everyone can build his very own perfect break from it.”
“As we know that you guys have a taste for ideas like this we wanted to share this LEGO MOC (My-Own-Creation) with you. We hope you enjoy the pictures. All the best, your KIT KAT team” (NOTE: This product was not sponsored, authorized or endorsed by the LEGO Group.)
Fun isn’t it? And looks delicious! There are obviously some very talented LEGO builders working on the KIT KAT team! (Doesn’t this make you want to work there?) And I’m so going to build myself a LEGO KIT KAT while munching on their chocolate bars! What do you think? How do you like the idea? Did you ever build yourself “edible” LEGO? Feel free to share in the comment section below! 😉

Is this legit? The builds seems taken straight from 31004, 31009 and 6914 (although some original models could have been chosen due to suitable parts).
Chocolate is never legit, but it’s fun. 😉
On a more serious note, although how they present this kit is some random Kit Kat guys deciding to build with LEGO during their lunch-break, these are obviously very sophisticated models. Especially the chocolate bar. Either they have some serious AFOL on their staff, or they hired someone. At least that would be my guess. As far as the smaller models, yes, they are slight variations of official LEGO sets.
Ha ha! AFOL people! XD
AWESOME!!!!
Looking very yummy and I agree, way to good to be just build during a lunch-BREAK 🙂
But a great idea, very well executed, I would buy one.
(or two, one to eat right away and the other for later when I’m feeling peckish from building)
Off-topic: the architecture studio set got a blurb in Popular Mechanics. It seems one of their associate editors is into Lego. I say, awesome!
Okay, so a giant chocolate bar made of Lego pieces. Awesome! 😀
It is a great design to have a “wrapper” that removes in sections, w/o being attached to the bar. I think the ends are a little short, though.
Are they planning to try to market this?
Also, admin, are you going to have an article for the 2014 Yoda Chronicles? There is a trailer for it. 😐
This is just some promotional fun. I doubt it will ever be a set that we can get. It is a great idea though and well executed. As far as the Yoda Chronicles, yeah, I may write a post for it. I just wasn’t too excited about last year’s episodes. There was all this hype, but not much actually happened, so kind of lost interest. 😕
Yeah, I was kind of disappointed that there were only 3 episodes last year. I thought it would be more like Ninjago. 😕 Still, the episodes are a good way to see the sets from that year in action. 😉
you guys (and gals ) shuld read the lego ninjago fanfic called once bit new life its about if in the ninjago episode pnce bit twice shy dint end so well what if jay didint turn back and if he was still a snake its awsome but be warnd it is a lot of chapters put to geter and its still in progres so if you dont like clif haners whate 😉
I’ve read that, it’s pretty amazing
Thanks for sharing that the story is very intresting
That is simply awesome!! I love the idea 😛
They should put this Kit Kat build on Lego Cusoo
All those tiny parts… That would probably cost hundreds of dollars…
It would be pretty funny though if Lego’s buggest set was a Kit Kat bar designed by someone else :D.
That was me, not Lego Trooper 91. His info was in the boxes because we share the same device.
Yeah, LOL! 😀
cool secret apartment! I never would have thought of a KIT-KAT
