LEGO double VIP points & more in April!

Besides being April’s Fools’ Day, today is also the first day of the April LEGO promotions at the Online LEGO Shop. So let’s see what perks we can take advantage of this month! 🙂

As you can see, the biggest happening this month is the double VIP points offer from April 1st-15th. This is a rare promotion LEGO only does a couple of times a year. It is also the perfect time to pick up the largest LEGO sets and especially the LEGO exclusives that are not available anywhere else and are rarely discounted. The double VIP points offer basically gives you a 10% discount in the form of a store-credit for future purchases.

Here is a list of some of the larger and more unique LEGO sets you might consider, and of course you can also get smaller sets to collect double VIP points, if you like. If you are already a VIP member, you can use your membership at the Online LEGO Shop and at official LEGO stores. They cannot be used at LEGOLAND parks however. VIP membership is free, and it comes with great benefits like the double VIP points offer. If you are not a member yet, but shop for LEGO regularly, make sure you sign up to enjoy the benefits.

Another promotion this month is a free set; the #30113 LEGO Friends Stephanie’s Bakery Stand with any LEGO Friends purchase. Also, if you live near an official LEGO store there are also various in-store events that you may want to take advantage of including the free Monthly Mini Model Build, which is a helicopter this time. There are a couple of LEGO Modular sets that I’m considering picking up this month to take advantage of the double VIP points offer; the #10218 LEGO Modular Parisian Restaurant, and the #10243 LEGO Modular Pet Shop. The points will really help with future purchases later this year for sets I’m definitely planning to get; the #70816 The LEGO Movie Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!  the #21108 LEGO CUUSOO Ghostbusters set, the #21107 LEGO Minecraft Micro World: The End set, and the summer release of the LEGO Mixels. And that will be pretty much it for me for the rest of the year – unless of course LEGO decides to unveil more amazing stuff – my poor wallet! 🙄
