Cute, isn’t it? I’m very-very impressed by the interior details, and the trunk – with the picnic basket and all – is so sweet! I also really like those checkered seats. And they managed to cram in a spare tire! Oh, and it would be very easy to switch out that water to wine… uhm… I mean grape-juice. 🙄

(It is actually already listed at the Online LEGO Shop, so if you would like to see more pictures and details, just follow the link.) The LEGO MINI Cooper will be a perfect companion to the previously released and also wonderful #10220 LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van still available at the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think of the LEGO MINI Cooper? How do you like the details, the colors, the accessories? Is this a set that is going straight to your wish-list? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! Would love to hear what you opinion! 😉

i really like the picnic basket….;)
A lot of people like that picnic basket… it is very cute and really gives the finishing touches to this set. 😛
I was going to say that I really liked the picnic basket too.
That’s so awesome! I totally want to get it, but no, I my brothers will not let me have it. 😡 That’s probably b/c I got the Parisian Restaurant. 😐
The checkered seats are sweet, I’m pretty sure that’s the first time LEGO has done that. Although, is the engine that detailed? I thought it was a 1×1 round plate and some vents. 😕 Still, pretty nice 🙂
Admin, are you going to write about the MTT 75058 picture?
The engine in this one is not that detailed like for example in the VW camper, but I don’t think it really matters. It is sweet anyway! 😛
what’s the MTT?
It’s a new SW exclusive coming out later this year. I saw it on Brickset: http://brickset.com/article/11314/75058-mtt-revealed
There are some better pictures in a Brickset Forum post. 😉
Yeah, I saw that. Didn’t look that interesting to me, so I thought I wait until I can see it in person to form an opinion. 🙂
Yeah, a lot of people say it’s a big step down from the 2007 MTT. There are also more pictures on this Brickset Forum article: (towards the bottom of the page) http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/15131/75058-mtt 😉
Hm… I see… I just checked out those additional pictures. I guess I’m just getting a bit bored with SW sets. I like the guard though. 🙂
whoa, that was so awesome! 😀 (but really off subject. 🙄 )
It is EPIC! I REALLY want it!!! But I probably won’t get it:(
I really like it but I tend to favor minifigure scale things. It would be nice to build and have sitting on a shelf, but $100 is kind of a lot for just a decoration.
I think the same way. I actually have the VW Camper, but I never opened the box because although I really like it, I’m just not into display models. To this day I haven’t decided if I will keep it or sell it. The only display model I have right now is the Ghostbusters car, the rest are all my own MOCs. I like the Ghostbusters set because although it is a display model, it is also minifigure scale.
I’m thorn about this set too. It is so cute, but since it is not minifig scale it just doesn’t fit into my building style. But I know it is going to be a very popular set – which is well deserved as it is an amazing model. Sometimes it is so hard to decide… 😕
This set looks great to me and a reasonable price for what it is. It’s funny that some of you mention it also because the checkered-seats were the first thing I noticed!
I don’t mind too much about lack of a detailed engine because it’s just really not possible to make a detailed engine in this scale unless it’s a big industrial engine — and even then I still have complaints about big Diesel trucks having V4s or V8’s instead of inline-6 like most commercial engines…. [but that’s another story.]
I do think the VW camper engine was pretty cool, though.
Most of all, I like that this set doesn’t seem to have many (any?) stickers. Lego designers, please STOP with the stickers, at least on all Expert and UCS products. I see a license plate on the Mini — hopefully it will be a printed tile. Some sets I’d love to get (like the new Maersk ship) but 100 container stickers — I don’t think so!
Sorry to digress.. yes, I want the Mini!
Peter, totally agree with you on the stickers, especially on UCS sets. As far as I know the Mini doesn’t have any stickers. I was also very happy to discover that the Ghostbusters sets I recently built had zero stickers; all decorated parts are printed! And yes, the checkered seats are such a great detail! 🙂
Unfortunately, I think there are a few stickers on the Mini (I agree about the lots of stickers point). I know the rear license plate and the symbol above it are stickers, as well as the front symbol and the side circular signs, but the racing stripes are definitely printings. 🙂 I don’t know about the front plate, but my guess is sticker. 🙁
Oh, really? That’s a shame. 😕

Uh, why is my comment being moderated? Because I copied and pasted something?
Not sure. I just had it approved. 😉
