A brand new LEGO model shop is opening in central Florida by Merlin Entertainment sometime shortly. The shop will be designing and building models for new and existing LEGOLAND parks for all over the world. I have met the team behind this new endeavor at BrickWorld Tampa last year, and there are some exciting development and expansions LEGOLAND is gearing up for. If your dream is to become a LEGO model builder, and you would like to (or already) live in sunny Florida, you might want to become part of this interesting adventure. 🙂
The new model shop is 15 minutes away from LEGOLAND Florida, and is in the last stages of opening. The plan is to gather the team and have the model shop ready by sometime next month. Currently they are advertising for one supervisor, seven LEGO designer roles, and one brick stock person to support the team. They will also be posting for LEGO model builder roles and animation tech roles shortly. These roles will be posted for the next couple of weeks and you can find them at the following link (look for the postings by MMM Studios): Job Openings by MMM Studios. Below are the currently available positions:

Don’t have the qualifications, but would love to be part of a team like this!
I know this is quite random but kind of has to do with this article. I went to the 100th Lego store opening and it was great. They gave these 100th Lego Store blocks and Duplo blocks along with the chrome TV-14 poly bag! Then they had a giant r2-d2 made entirely of Lego bricks. I even won this quiz on Lego they had and got a Lego Friends set for free. Sadly I don’t like that theme so I gave it to my little cousin who wanted it. 🙁 Meanwhile this other kid won an X-Wing. My luck.
But you got to be the “cool cousin” for doing that! Very kind of you my friend:-). Where is this 100th Store?
White Plains, New York. Luckily I went because I was local. 🙂
Ah… but at least you won something! 😀
