LEGO released a whole bunch of new sets just a few days ago and also today, and they are topped with some new promotions as well. Today we will summarize all the new sets to make sure you don’t miss out on anything, and also mention the new specials that you can take advantage of. 🙂
➡ FREE LEGO CREATOR FOUNTAIN: The main promotion this month is the long rumored and highly anticipated #40221 LEGO Creator Fountain. You can get this exclusive set free with purchases of $75 or more from June 1st-15th at official LEGO stores or the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO CREATOR BIG BEN: LEGO VIP members will get early access to the #10253 LEGO Creator Big Ben starting on June 15th. You can check out the press-release here: LEGO Creator Big Ben Pictures & Details, and find it under the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ DOUBLE VIP POINTS ON LEGO TECHNIC: You can earn Double VIP Points on those LEGO Technic sets during the entire month. The two sets are the #42048 LEGO Technic Race Kart, and the #42049 LEGO Technic Mine Loader. You can find them under the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO TECHNIC PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS: The #42056 LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS is now available. This is one of the most detailed and beautiful LEGO Technic sets ever released. You can check out the press-release and designer video here: LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS Details, and find it under the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO MINECRAFT THE VILLAGE: The #21128 LEGO Minecraft The Village set is now available for everyone, not just LEGO VIP members. This is the largest LEGO Minecraft set released to date. You can check out the full review of the set here: LEGO Minecraft The Village Review, and find it under the LEGO Minecraft section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO CITY SUMMER SETS: We have discussed a good number of the LEGO City summer sets that were just released a few days ago (see links at the end of this post), but I will summarize the information here for your convenience. The really nice LEGO City Volcano sets have been released, and there are also a number of new LEGO City Airport sets. Some of the most talked about sets are the #60132 LEGO City Service Station and the #60134 LEGO City Fun in the Park – City People Pack. You can find them all under the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO CREATOR SUMMER SETS: LEGO Creator has some especially nice sets this summer, including the #31051 LEGO Creator Lighthouse Point, the #31052 LEGO Creator Vacation Getaways, and the #31053 LEGO Creator Treehouse Adventures. We have reviewed these sets here: 2016 LEGO Creator Summer Sets Review, and you can find them under the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO JUNIORS SUMMER SETS: There are some great sets under the LEGO Juniors line also. The #10726 LEGO Juniors Stephanie’s Horse Carriage, the #10727 LEGO Juniors Emma’s Ice Cream Truck, and the #10728 LEGO Juniors Mia’s Vet Clinic are all actually LEGO Friends sets, but under the Juniors line for younger girls. A LEGO Super Heroes set under the LEGO Juniors category is the #10724 LEGO Super Heroes Batman & Superman vs. Lex Luthor set. You can find them all under the LEGO Juniors section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO STAR WARS SUMMER SETS: A whole bunch of new LEGO Star Wars sets were just released. Here are some of the highlights: #75148 LEGO Star Wars Encounter on Jakku, #75149 LEGO Star Wars Resistance X-Wing Fighter, #75150 LEGO Star Wars Vader’s TIE Advanced vs. A-Wing Starfighter, #75151 LEGo Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank, and the #75157 LEGO Star Wars Captain Rex’s AT-TE. Also, the two LEGO Star Wars Freemaker Adventures sets are now available: #75145 LEGO Star Wars Eclipse Fighter and #75147 LEGO Star Wars StarScavenger. And remember that the #75098 LEGO Star Wars Assault on Hoth set is also now available (see: LEGO Star Wars Assault on Hoth Review). You can find all the new sets under the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO BIONICLE SUMMER SETS: A new collection of new sets is also available for BIONICLE fans. Here is the list: #71312 LEGO BIONICLE Ekimu the Mask Maker, #71313 LEGO BIONICLE Lava Beast, #71314 LEGO BIONICLE Storm Beast, #71315 LEGO BIONICLE Quake Beast, and #71316 LEGO BIONICLE Umarak the Destroyer. You can find them all under the LEGO BIONICLE section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO MIXELS SERIES 8 SETS: Nine new buildable characters are available under LEGO Mixels Series 8: the Medix who are really into dental and medical dare, the Pyrratz – obviously pirates, and the MCFD firefighters. All are really fun characters that you can find under the LEGO Mixels section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO STATIONARY ITEMS: Those LEGO stationary items we talked about the other day (see review: LEGO Stationary: Ruler, Pens, Markers & More!), are now listed on LEGO’s website as well. Strangely, instead of being listed under home accessories, they are under the LEGO Classic section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO “WHAT AM I?” GAME: Another interesting new items is the #40161 LEGO What Am I? set. It is a twist to the iconic game with yes/no questions to guess your opponent’s characters. It includes sixteen buildable and removable minifigures, two game-boards, and instructions. You can find it under the Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.
So to summarize, there are plenty of new sets to choose from. The best time to shop would be during the first half of the month so you can get the free exclusive LEGO Creator Fountain with your order. Also, as I always mention, it is a good idea to check the Sales & Deals section of the Online LEGO Shop before you check out. You can often find some great deals there on interesting older sets that are being retired. For example right now the #75876 LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 919 Hybrid and 917K Pit Lane, the #60096 LEGO City Deep Sea Operation, the #40158 LEGO Pirates Chess Set, the #21302 LEGO Ideas The Big Bang Theory, the #41068 LEGO Disney Princess Arendelle Castle Celebration, the #41066 LEGO Disney Princess Anna & Kristoff’s Sleigh Adventure, and a number of LEGO Ninjago and LEGO Nexo Knights sets are on sale. You can find them all under the Sales & Deals section of the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think? Are you planning to take advantage of the May the 4th promotion, or perhaps pick up something later in the month? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I’m not seeing the “What am I” game on the Lego website. Can you tell me what the price is? Will it be in stores?
The online shop is acting up a bit right now – which is usually the case at the beginning of the month. Here is the direct link to the set: Who Am I?
The price is $39.99. It should be available at official LEGO stores, but I’m not sure about other retailers.
Thanks. Looks interesting. I’d want to see it in person first though. I do like the looks of the new Mixels though. I didn’t know those were coming out. Cool!
I like the new Mixels too. Especially the medical ones. Great colors. The pirates are fun too. The game does look interesting, although it may be too fast to finish with only that many minifigures. But it could also be mixed up and also add your own custom playing pieces to make it harder.
Porsche 911, Big Ben, Assault on Hoth, Minecraft, Death Star UCS… Uugghh!!!! So many choices, not enough $$$$. Need to make a decision lol.
My 9yr old son wants the Minecraft Village and Hoth set, and surprisingly also Big Ben. I’m still debating on the Porsche (already have 1 on hold at the Lego store) and need more info on the Death Star but started saving for that too.
Yeah, LEGO is a great motivator to make more money. 😀
This is kind of off topic, but I thought the people on here might want to see this lego keyboard: http://www.cnet.com/news/this-lego-keyboard-is-one-you-wont-mind-bricking/
That’s fun for some distraction during work. 😀
Thought I’d let you know that I got the lighthouse this morning at its $74.99 Canadian price. The staff member let me have the fountain without an additional purchase.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the set. It’s a really fun build, and looks great. 😀
I wish the US site/stores had the sets that dropped June 1st in Europe. I want those Spiderman sets and new Ninjago and, and…! Ahaha. Any idea when they’ll be making it here? I know toyfair placards earlier in the year said August, but they said August for the volcano and fun in the park sets that are out now, too, so. Probably better for my wallet if they come out later rather than sooner, anyway.
My understanding is that those sets will be available in August. It is likely we will see them earlier at Toys’R’Us, as they usually release sets a few weeks before the official date. But yeah, we are getting them later that our friends over in the UK/Europe. While the Volcano sets were scheduled for August, only three of them have been released – sadly – as I was really looking forward to those… so I guess we will just have to patiently wait for a bit longer.
What a cruel, cruel summer. ;P
Tell me about it! But at least we can spend more time outside! 😀
