If you are looking for a unique gift for a LEGO fan for this holiday season, you might consider trying something interesting like a LEGO watch or alarm clock. A UK-based company called ClicTime has been making all the official LEGO watches and alarm clocks for over a decade, and they are available both at various retailers, Amazon, and the Online LEGO Shop. 🙂
We have talked in detail about the ClicTime watches and alarm clocks previously (see: LEGO Watches for Play & Timekeeping), and if you are not familiar with them, I do recommend reading the full review. In summary, they are high quality timepieces suitable for both children and adults. Some of the ClicTime watches and alarm clocks come with classic LEGO colors and minifig designs, while others are related to popular themes like LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Super Heroes, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Friends, The LEGO Movie, The LEGO Batman Movie – and most recently – The LEGO Ninjago Movie. What I wanted to bring to your attention today are their most recent watches and clocks.
Under The LEGO Ninjago Movie line, there is a Lloyd alarm clock and watch, and a Kai alarm clock and watch. The Lloyd alarm clock glows with green backlight, while Kai’s light is red. The alarm clocks are fully articulated – just like regular LEGO minifigs – with movable legs, arms, wrists, and neck. And, of course, they work as fully functional alarm clocks. When standing, they are about 9” (23cm) tall. See clocks at the Online LEGO Shop.
The analog wristwatches come with multicolored, interchangeable links to create different strap designs that fit comfortably around the wrist. There is also a sculpted non-posable minifig link (smaller than a regular minifig) that can be incorporated with the other links. The watches feature quartz movement, a scratch-resistant lens, hour, minute and second hands, and they are tested to a static depth of 50m (which basically means they are splash resistant). See watches at the Online LEGO Shop.
Under the new LEGO Star Wars watches my favorite is the one with BB-8, and there is also one with Kylo Ren, Yoda, Darth Vader, and a Storm Trooper. As far as the clocks, Boba Fett is one of the most popular ones amongst the recent releases. And, while it is not a LEGO alarm clock, I should mention that there is a very cute BulbBotz BB-8 alarm clock also made by ClikTime (ClikTime also works with other companies besides LEGO) that you might consider. See listings here: LEGO WATCHES ON AMAZON and LEGO CLOCKS ON AMAZON
The ClicTime LEGO watches and alarm clocks are available at retail stores like Toys’R’Us, Target, Wal-Mart, JCPenney, and online stores like Amazon.com. And of course their products are also available at official LEGO stores, and the Online LEGO Shop.
What I appreciate most about the ClicTime watches and alarm clocks is the quality. They match LEGO’s colors and minifig designs perfectly. While the watches are more suitable for kids (or playful adults), the alarm clocks are perfect for pretty much any LEGO fan of any age. They are unique and interesting collectibles that look great on display, sturdy enough for play, and are functional clocks as well.
What do you think? How do you like the LEGO watches and clocks? Do you have any of them already? Which one do you like the most? And what other characters would you like to see in the future? Feel free to share your thoughts and own review in the comment section below! 😉

I have from the Monster Fighters the mummy alarm clock and a couple of Star Wars watches ( R2D2 and a Boba Fett , with mini figures) .
Oh, yes, I remember that some of the watches used to come with an actual minifig. I don’t know if they still do that, or if they all just have the sculpting.
I can confirm that the watches are good quality, but they are more appropriate for kids. The clocks, on the other hand, make a great accessory for any room or even office. They make great giant monsters to attack Lego city. Oh, and they work as alarm clocks too.
Nice gift ideas! I have some people in mind who would love these! Thanks!
The ninjago ones are cool!!! I hope Santa brings me one!
I would like an alarm that’s not from an IP. Is that possible? Did they ever make a generic or classic minifig alarm?
There are a few non-IP based clocks; policeman, firefighter, mummy, generic city girl, etc. You can see all the released clocks in the BrickLink database: https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&catString=336&catType=G
