There are several promotions and freebies from LEGO that will expire this weekend, so I wanted to make sure you know about them and don’t miss out before they are gone.
As a surprise promotion that wasn’t announced in the LEGO Store Calendar, LEGO is offering a free LEGO Lunch Box (item #5006017) on purchases of $99 or more. The tin lunch box looks exceptionally good with the traditional LEGO color band, as well as graphics of the LEGO brick patent. This offer is valid until Sunday, the 15th of September, at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
Another interesting offer for LEGO VIP members that expires today is the free #75522 LEGO Star Wars Mini Droid Commander set with purchases of the recently released #75253 LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander robotics kit. This is basically the Star Wars version of the new LEGO BOOST robotics system. It allows you to build three app-controlled Star Wars droids: R2-D2, a Gonk Droid, and a Mouse Droid. Using the Bluetooth-controlled LEGO BOOST Move Hub and the free LEGO BOOST Star Wars app, you can control the droids with the intuitive drag-and-drop coding environment (visit LEGO.com/DeviceCheck for a list of compatible devices) through over 40 exciting missions. This offer is valid until Sunday, the 15th of September, at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
And remember that also expiring on Sunday the 15th, you can get a a free #40336 LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar with purchases of $50 or more. This means that if you purchase the #75253 LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander by the end of Sunday, you will get all three freebies! And, or course you can get other sets as well to make the minimum for this offer, as it is not restricted to any particular set or theme. This offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
And just a reminder that two of the new LEGO Hidden Side sets are offered with Double VIP Points during the whole month of September. The two sets are the #70423 LEGO Hidden Side Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000, and the #70425 LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Haunted High School. If you would like to learn more about the sets and the accompanying app, go to LEGO Hidden Side Sets & App Overview. This offer is also available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
As we discussed at the beginning of the month, LEGO released several new sets in other categories, including the #71044 LEGO Disney Train and Station, the #21319 LEGO Ideas Central Perk set, the 2019 LEGO Advent Calendars, two new LEGO Overwatch sets, and LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19. Other recently released sets worth noting are the #10269 LEGO Creator Expert Harley-Davidson Fat Boy, the #21318 LEGO Ideas Treehouse, the #75936 LEGO Jurassic Park: T. Rex Rampage, the #75253 LEGO Star Wars Droid Commander robotics set, the #10265 LEGO Creator Ford Mustang, the #75810 LEGO Stranger Things Upside Down set, and much more. Thanks I always appreciate your excellent write-ups. I knew about the Lunchbox and Juice Bar but got Lego promotional email about the Star Wars Boost set special item, and with all 3 promos at once, it was hard to resist, so I didn’t (didn’t resist, I mean.)
I always have to remember that you are in tomorrow already — here in US it is still yesterday (well, for you. For us it’s today! now I’m confused!) So the deal that expires “today” for you expires tomorrow, for us. Depending on when you read it, of course. Soon it will be tomorrow.
Hm… I guess I should always use dates to make sure there is no mix-up. BTW, we are on US time as well. 🙂
That lunch box is not bad. I didn’t care for the tote bag and the bucket, but this one is cool. I like the mini droid commander too, but I don’t think I will get the full set. I don’t have a device that the app works with. May just build the mini version from the parts I have.
I was reading that hundreds of people are lining up in front of lego stores to get the Star Destroyer. I wasn’t expecting it to be so popular. Where do all these people get so much money??
Hm… if I would know the answer I would be rich! 😀
