To get ready for Easter, LEGO is offering two new freebies starting today. In addition, LEGO also opened a special, Easter Basket section of the Online LEGO Shop, with some Easter gift ideas. We will look at all these new offerings below.
From now until April 13th, you can get a #30550 LEGO Easter Bunny with purchases of $30 or more. The set features a cute yellow and white brick-built Easter bunny with a lime-green and yellow Easter egg. This is a small polybag set with 67 pieces, and it could make a nice little surprise during an Easter egg hunt. The offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
The second Easter-related freebie is a much larger set in a standard cardboard box and with the red Limited Edition logo. The #40371 LEGO Customizable Easter Egg comes with 239 pieces, and is free with purchases of $50 or more at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
The brick-built light-orange, white, and lime-green egg has three stackable sections that come apart to reveal quite a few surprises. The bottom section is filled with 1×1 tiles and plates in a rainbow of colors and several shapes to decorate the outside of the egg. And the middle and top section hides an adorable brick-built chick.
I like the interactivity of this set and how it encourages creativity and customization. Just like the Easter Bunny, it could be incorporated into Easter Egg hunt activities, including hiding, finding, and building the egg, decorating the outside of the egg in various ways with the included pieces, adding more decorative pieces from your own collection, hiding other items inside the egg, and using the set as a template to build more Easter eggs in various colors. This offer is also valid until April 13th at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
Please note that if you make a purchase of $50 or more, you will get both the #30550 LEGO Easter Bunny, and the #40371 LEGO Customizable Easter Egg. Both of these offers are valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
How to meet the $30 or $50 limit? You might already have your own wish-list ready to go, but if you don’t LEGO is making some suggestions in the Easter Gift Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop. They specifically recommend LEGO DOTS, the LEGO Disney Storybook Adventures sets, the new LEGO Trolls World Tour sets, and other small to medium size sets that offer good playability without breaking the bank. And they also advertise the new #10271 LEGO Creator Expert Fiat 500, which doesn’t have much connection to Easter besides being cute and light-yellow. We talked about this set before (see links at the end of this post), and you can find it at the LEGO Creator section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? How do you like the LEGO Easter freebies? Are you planning to get any new sets to qualify for them? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I like the Easter egg. It’s more creative than usual. Neat.
Nuts! Had I known I would have held off purchasing the Ford Mustang until today. Eh, easy come, ya know. 😀
If you placed the order in the past couple of days, you can call customer service, and they might send one for you. But you should have gotten the train, which in my opinion is an even better freebie.
I ordered the Mustang yesterday. There wasn’t a comment on the Train (which I agree that is a better freebie) so I have no idea of I qualified for that one or not. To be honest, I’m not that worried if I get the Easter ones or not (aside from a few more free Lego pieces in my parts bin) so might not worry about it.
Now that I think about it I don’t doubt the train was a ‘while supplies last’ and with the double points on everything on the web site they probably ran out. I did get double points, so that’s the best part.
The egg looks a little too square to me, but hey, it’s a freebie, so I won’t complain. Do you guys know when the winner of the Ideas Classic Car contest is going to be a freebie? That’s the one I’m really looking forward to.
I just got my Easter Lego catalog in the mail today. On the back of the cover is a Easter bunny house. It looks to fun to pass up. I’ll try and get it.🤞 I’ve been trying to combined Lego City with Hidden Side sets and I think it’s working out great. I think Lego needs to make a hidden side HQ. I know there’s the bus but it has to stop and get gas and fuel up somewhere. Maybe a cleaning after all that ghost hunting. Ghost germs! 👻
They sometimes do have crossovers from one theme to another, so a HIdden Siden HQ in Lego City is still a possibility
I got my Catalog today too! And also the LEGO Life Magazine. Haven’t had time to flip through them though. 🙂
LEGO should release a minifig with lots of toilet paper, Now, that would be a timely freebie! 😀
Funny you say that. I actually have a post scheduled for talking about this. 😀
