There are a couple of LEGO Star Wars related news that I wanted to share with you today. First of all, I wanted to show you how cool the currently available LEGO Star Wars freebie keychain really is, and also discuss the recently published designer-video for the #75290 LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina.
As we mentioned a couple of days ago, the current freebie is the exclusive #5006363 LEGO Han Solo Carbonite Metal Keychain with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $100 or more. This offer is valid until November 8th at official LEGO stores and the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
I originally didn’t pay much attention to this keychain, but now that I have one, I’m very impressed by how awesome it is. First of all, the keychain comes in a slick and sturdy black box that’s about 2x4x1 inches. The fully removable lid of the box features the LEGO Star Wars logo with simple lettering. The bottom of the box features the LEGO VIP logo, and also reveals that the item was produced by RDP Ltd. from the UK, for the LEGO Group, and their website is RDP-Creative.com.
Inside the box, there is a protective layer of thin paper, and a foam insert, which houses a metal version of the Han Solo in Carbonite element with an attached key chain and ring. This thing is surprisingly heavy (2.2 ounces to be precise). I was surprised by both the weight and the elegant design. This is definitely a beautiful collectors’ item in every way! Again, if you want to get it, it’s available until November 8th with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $100 or more at official LEGO stores and the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
As I mentioned, the designer-video for the #75290 LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina is finally available. LEGO designers César Soares and Madison O’Neil show you the set in detail, including the different buildings and vehicles, the play-features, Easter eggs, unique building techniques, minifigures, and more.
If you are interested in the #75290 LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina, this is the perfect time to get it, as you will also receive the exclusive Han Solo key chain with your purchase. The set is available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? How do you like the exclusive LEGO Star Wars key chain? And what do you think of the LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina now that you had a chance to watch the designer-video? Are you planning to get it, or do you have it already? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

I was reading that this keychain maybe made of stainess steel. It does look nice.
The alst time I checked, the Cantina showed as out of stock. I hope it will be back soon.
Man, too bad the Cantina is out of stock. It would have been perfect to get the keychain. Why don’t they at least make it backordered so people can buy it with later delivery?
Didnt’ they have a key chain like this but plastic? I like the metal one, but I don’t know what I would use it for. My keys are already too heavy. I don’t want to make them even heavier.
The video was cool. I was wondering what those extra buildings were used for. Now I like the set even more. But I don’t know when I will be able to afford it. I hope they will have it around for a while. It’s much better than the Hoth set they released a few years ago.
I think I’m good for now. I’m waiting for the new Ninjago Legacy sets. Those are really cool.
MOS Eisley Cantina is still out of stock. I know a lot of people have checked it after it was mentioned its availability in this article (Ops). However it is still out of stock and we must wait a little longer.( hopefully not too much longer).
Yeah, sorry about that. It’s tough to time these articles, as stock changes so often. When I wrote it, the set was still available or on backorder. Now it’s completely out of stock. Sigh. Probably the keychain offer pushed people to get it all at the same time.
The Mos Eisley Cantina was out of stock for about a month the Han Solo keychain I believe just started it’s promo. Of course I could be wrong?🤔
Yes, the keychain promo started at the beginning of the month. The Cantina has been going back and forth between out of stock and backordered. It’s probably going to be tough to actually get until next year. In situations like this, sometimes phone orders have a better chance to go through as you can talk to a live person who can manually check stock, but unfortunately the waiting time to actually get someone on the phone has been over a half an hour. I do hope that factory in Mexico will reopen by at least next year.
