There is a new contest on LEGO Ideas, challenging LEGO fans to build something related to summer adventures at the beach. You could build sandcastles, beach huts, fish and chips – the possibilities are endless. This model should be between 150-250 pieces as the winning entry will be turned into a future gift-with-purchase LEGO set. There are other great prizes too, so check out the details below.
This contest will consist of 3 phases: 1.) Submission Phase – Build and submit your entry before May 11th, 2021 at 6:00 a.m. EST. 2.) Judging Phase – LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose 15 entries, which will then go forward to a fan vote. 3.) Voting Phase – LEGO Ideas members will have the opportunity to vote once, for their favorite entry from May 18th-25th, 2021. 4.) Winners Announcement – The grand prize winner and five runner up winners will be shared on LEGO Ideas no later than May 31st, 2021.
Submissions to this contest may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as LEGO Digital Designer. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance your photos. Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. Add a title and short description. Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the LEGO Ideas contest page.
The grand prize winner of this contest will get the exclusive opportunity to have their model transformed into a new LEGO gift-with-purchase set. On top of that, they will also receive the following: #92176 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V, #21322 LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay, #21326 LEGO Ideas Winnie the Pooh, #40448 LEGO Vintage Car. Five runner up winners will each receive the following: #92176 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V, #21326 LEGO Ideas Winnie the Pooh, #40448 Vintage Car.
