Completed in 2017 in Billund, Denmark, the LEGO House brought the toy scale of the classic LEGO brick to a human scale with exhibition spaces and public squares. The 130,000-square-foot (12,000-square-meter) structure is home to a color-coded system of experience zones, as well as three restaurants, a LEGO store, a conference center, and a 2,000-square-meter public space known as the LEGO Square.
In 2018, a documentary was released on Netflix, titled “LEGO House – Home of the Brick”. The 48-minute film takes viewers on a journey through the conception, design, construction, and opening of the LEGO House, and offers thorough insight into the challenges faced throughout the design and building of this iconic structure. The documentary also dives into the history of the LEGO brand, and why the company’s directors felt that the LEGO House is so important.
As mentioned, the documentary was only available for Netflix subscribers, but since it is no longer on Netflix, it has been published on the LEGO House YouTube channel, and you can watch the entire film below. Enjoy!

Ha! I forgot about this one! I remember wanting to watch it when it first came out. Thanks for posting!
I would love to go one day, but with all the craziness in the world right now, it won’t be anytime soon. I also heard that Denmark is very expensive.
The video shows gray for me. Is it not working?
It’s working. I think they just didn’t have their cover page set up right. But yeah, just press the play button and it will start playing. 🙂
This reminds me of a saying that when companies start building monuments for themselves, that’s the beginning of their decline. I hope that’s not the case here.
I wanted to hear more about the issues and failures. Good documentary though.
