One of the most popular LEGO Harry Potter sets this year has been the #76388 LEGO Harry Potter Hogsmeade Village Visit. It features a couple of much-loved buildings from the magical movies; Honeydukes candy store and The Three Broomsticks pub. Three smaller outdoor builds (a street light, a bench with snow, and notice-board) provide further inspiration for imaginative play. The set comes with minifigure versions of Harry Potter, Dean Thomas, Professor McGonagall, Madam Rosmerta, Mr. Flume, and Mrs. Flume, plus a host of cool features, furniture, and accessories. In addition, you also get collectible extras like an exclusive, golden, anniversary Ron Weasley minifigure and four random wizard card tiles.
In addition, this set has some other attractive qualities that make it attractive even for non-Harry Potter fans. The richly detailed and snow-covered buildings blend in nicely with the LEGO Winter Village sets. You can use the two buildings as-is or with some minor modifications like removing any references to the Harry Potter movies.
Another option is to use the parts from the set and make your own LEGO Winter Village building. One of the editors of Bouwsteentjes.info, a Recognized LEGO Fan Media that provides the latest news, reviews, and more for LEGO fans in the Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg) area, created such an alternate model and called it Ye Olde Inn.
As they would like more LEGO fans to rebuild existing sets and wish the worldwide LEGO fan community a very Merry Christmas, they decided to share free instructions for this model. You can download the instructions from Rebrickable.com. I also recommend checking out their other creations on Rebrickable as well, as they share some really nice winter-themed models. To see them all visit the MOCs by Brickwood Creations page at Rebrickable.com.
Again, instructions are free for Ye Olde Inn, and all you need are the parts from the #76388 LEGO Harry Potter Hogsmeade Village Visit set, which you can purchase at the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? Do you have the Hogsmeade Village set? How do you like it? Did you think about adding them to the LEGO Winter Village sets? And how do you like this alternate model? Are you planning to build it? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

This is a nice idea. Thanks for providing free instructions. There is part of the roof that I don’t like, but the rest is pretty good.
We got this set just to add to our winter village. It looks great with the other winter village sets.
Neat. I like how they used the snow. But I think I like the original set a bit better. Still, I appreciate the free instructions. More people should do this.
Well, it’s goodwill, but it’s understandable people would like some payoff or reward for their work.
