Getting the LEGO Store Calendar for the upcoming month has been a highlight for LEGO fans who were looking forward to in-store events and special offers. The online PDF version of the calendar was also a helpful resource as it listed upcoming promotions available at the Online LEGO Shop ahead of time.
Unfortunately, it was recently communicated by the LEGO store team that the LEGO Store Calendar has been retired at the end of last year. This is the result of LEGO’s shifting marketing strategy in response to unpredictable world events that made it challenging to schedule in-store events and store/online promotions.
The slightly good news is that the LEGO store team still has the intention to communicate upcoming events and promotions, but instead of having a printed calendar, they will use the official LEGO stores page, which is easier to update/change even on short notice.
Unfortunately, with the LEGO Store Calendar retiring, there is now no easy way to learn about upcoming online promotions. I do hope that this will be remedied by sending out notifications about upcoming promotions via the LEGO VIP Weekly LEGO Newsletter. For currently available promotions, you can visit the LEGO offers & sale page at the Online LEGO Shop.
While discontinuing the LEGO Store Calendar under the current circumstances is understandable, there is also disappointment in the community. LEGO fans and collectors often timed their purchases with upcoming promotions, and as of now, that’s just not possible.
What do you think? Did you rely on the LEGO Store Calendar for your purchases and for participating in store events? Would you like LEGO to send out/post notifications on upcoming promotions and events? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

I used to depend on the Lego Store calendar, but, ever since they moved further away from my house. I’ve have not set foot in a Lego store in about three and a half years. I did however order some sets including a City set just so I can get the promotion deal “two kids playing in the park”.
After the opportunity to mix and match the BAM minifigures, myself, was removed due to Covid, I haven’t really visited the Stockholm Lego store much.
I have occasionally planned large purchases to get 2X VIP points, but both the opportunities and my large purchases come few and far between, anyway…
I don’t have a lego store near me, but I used it to plan for the online promos. Dang,..
This is really disappointing, but understandable.
I guess in terms of all the things the pandemic has ruined, this is pretty low on my priority list.

I’m disappointed. It’s a full day adventure for us to go to a Lego store and we looked forward to using the calendar to plan our trips.
