Earlier today, the LEGO Group announced the long-awaited #21338 LEGO Ideas A-Frame Cabin set. Designed by Italian LEGO fan designer, Andrea Lattanzio, this set is the perfect retreat when you want to get away from it all.
Inspired by A-framed log cabins, this set features two stories complete with an upper bedroom and ground-floor living room and kitchen. Outside there is a deck with steps down to the great outdoors – where you will find a woodshed and intricate trees home to a friendly squirrel. The four included LEGO minifigures can get cozy by the fireplace, jam with the acoustic guitar, or take a trip in the canoe.
Talking about his design, Andrea, a big LEGO fan, said; “I was looking through a book with many strange houses from all over the world and I discovered the A-frame and it was love at first sight. I started with a sketch, so I had a clear vision and then built my design in about 10 days.”
Here is the official description of the set: Take time out to explore the simple pleasures of life in the countryside with this collectible LEGO Ideas display model. The iconic, steeply angled roof is easily detached for access to the detailed interior. The bedroom on the upper level and the living area, study, and kitchenette on the lower level are full of accessories to create a cozy atmosphere. The set also includes three colorful trees that can be connected to create an island, plus a canoe.
Bring the idyllic rural scene to life with four customizable minifigures and eleven animal figures, including two new-for-February-2023 moths. The other animals include two butterflies, two frogs, two birds, an otter, a spider, and a squirrel. An ideal gift for lovers of nature or architecture, this building kit comes with instructions to guide every step of your creative experience. This 2,082-piece set measures over 9.5 in. (24 cm) high, 8 in. (21 cm) wide, and 9 in. (22 cm) deep.
The #21338 LEGO Ideas A-Frame Cabin is going to be available from the 1st of February for LEGO VIP members, and the 4th of February 2023 for all. Prices are as follows: $/€179.99/£159.99/279.99 AUD/239.99 CAD. For more information and pictures, visit the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
To celebrate the launch, the LEGO Group has created a cabin chill experience – where you can retreat to nature via the LEGO cabin cam at LEGO.com/cabin and see what happens in the woods! You might even spot the squirrel!

Thanks for including the original. It’s interesting to see them side by side. I like both, actually.
I’m a little sad they took out the storm shutters, I thought those were a great touch.
Great set! It will go great with the tree house. The two could be in the same forest. 😀
This is a solid set. Maybe not the most exciting they released, but I like it. And it doesn’t deviate much from the original.
