The recently released #76417 LEGO Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank completes the highly detailed #75978 LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley from 2020. It features the bank’s opulent foyer and a mezzanine floor with a safe in the wall to store Hagrid’s secret letter, as well as a spiraling vault cart track with a mechanism that stops the cart at each of three underground vaults. The set also includes a poseable Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon figure and a buildable model of the Magical Menagerie shop.
Last week, LEGO uploaded the designer-video for the set with LEGO designers Justin Ramsden, George Gilliatt, and Peter Kjærgaard talking about and demonstrating all the cool features and details. You can watch it below.
It’s interesting that the designers suggested that the set could also be mixed with the LEGO Modular Buildings. I would love to see someone taking them up on that challenge! If you’re interested in setting up your own alley but you don’t have the sets already, you can find both the #75978 LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley and the #76417 LEGO Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank at the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I’m a big fan of the Diagon Alley set. It’s an incredible parts pack. And the buildings have some cool techniques. I built them once then took them apart for parts. This bank is okay, but it doesn’t appeal to me as much as Diagon Alley
Man, I wish I could work for Lego! These guys are having so much fun! I thought it was interesting that they started with a mini model. To me, the design process is always the most interesting.
Haha! Great to see these guys together! The bank looks fun! I don’t have a room for it, but I hope next time I go to the Lego store they will have it on display.
I just want to build it, play with it, then take it apart. no room for such a huge set. But I like it.
