We already discussed several recently released LEGO City sets including the LEGO City Fire, LEGO City Space, and LEGO City Police collections (see links at the end of this post). Today, I wanted to highlight a few of the smaller LEGO City sets that don’t belong to any of the above-mentioned sub-categories, but are quite fun and awesome.
The #60399 LEGO City Race Car and the #60400 LEGO City Go-Karts and Race Drivers are fun little sets for only $9.99 each. And they both have one surprizing feature; all the decorated elements you see are printed. There are no stickers in these sets. So if you’re looking for small vehicles to add to your city, or printed elements to build your own race cars, these are perfect sets to add to your collection. They are available at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
A delightful set this year is the #60404 LEGO City Burger Truck. This set also only has printed elements and no stickers. This little food truck is perfect for a city display! Topped with a giant burger, the mobile fast-food joint can be detached from the truck and comes with a detailed food prep area, condiments, and a service hatch that opens to display a flame-grilled burger sign. Take a look at the video-review below. The set also includes a vendor and a customer with a hearing aid. The price is $19.99 and you can pick it up at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The #60405 LEGO City Emergency Rescue Helicopter would also make a great addition to a city diorama. It features a helicopter with a cockpit, rotors, an opening cargo bay, and a working winch. I really like the color-scheme on this one. The three included minifigs are a hiker, a pilot, and a rescue worker. This set is also $19.99 and is available at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The #60406 LEGO City Race Car and Carrier Truck does utilize stickers, but the color-scheme is wonderful. The race truck comes with a functional loading ramp and cool printed tires, and the race car features lowered suspension and flared wings. The set also includes a race car driver and truck driver in matching suits. This set is $29.99 and is available at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? How do you like the new LEGO City vehicles? Are you planning to get any of them? Or do you have some of them already? Feel free to share your own reviews and discuss in the comment section below!

I got the food truck. So good! The printed pieces were a pleasant surprise.
Lego always has a lot of fun with their food trucks.
The food truck is adorable. 😄 There was also a slushy truck last year. But that came with stickers.
I’m a big fan of the food trucks. Friends has several of them too. Even the over the top colors work. Because you know, food truck. 😀
Although i recently found a few of them in an old Zip-Loc bag, I lo-key wish for the return of yellow motorcycle helmets, since it’s the least common of the Mondrian colors, despite being the most common color for the Futuron astronauts.
(Then, Orange, Green and Purple motorcycle helmets would also be useful..)
As for the sets, they’re cool, and certain parts might be useful, but I prioritize Marvel and pre-2000’s Space at this moment.
This was interesting. There appears to be printed yellow and orange helmets in the upcoming McLaren sets, which might mean that we’ll see unprinted helmets on Pick-A-Brick this year…
