As we discussed previously (see: LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy Trailer & Sets!) LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy is an upcoming four-part miniseries based on the LEGO Star Wars franchise, set for release on September 13, 2024, on Disney+. The series follows a boy named Sig Greebling, who accidentally activates a powerful Jedi relic that rewrites reality, forcing him to restore things to normal. The miniseries also features the on-screen debut of Jedi Bob, a minifigure originating from the Attack of the Clones Republic Gunship set from 2002 where he was depicted as a then-unnamed Jedi character. He was later given the name “Bob” as an inside joke from the fandom in the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary, published in 2009.
At the beginning of the month, three LEGO Star Wars sets were released based on the upcoming miniseries. There is a lot of interest in these sets, so I thought to discuss them all together with the help of JANGBRiCKS and his excellent reviews.
The #75388 LEGO Star Wars Jedi Bob’s Starfighter introduces fans to the mystery character and also includes an Ackbar Trooper, plus a Servo (SR-V0) droid. The starfighter features an opening cockpit, 2 spring-loaded shooters, and retractable landing gear. JANG doesn’t have a video-review on this set yet, but it’s a pretty basic but fun little set, perfect for swooshing around the galaxy! It comes with 305 pieces and the price is $39.99. Available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The #75389 LEGO Star Wars Dark Falcon features a dark version of the Millennium Falcon with flip-up panels for easy access to the detailed interior, including Darth Jar Jar’s throne, the command center, hyperdrive, entertainment area, and jail cell. Spring-loaded shooters, rotating cannons, and a removable gunner post add to the action-play possibilities. The six characters are Darth Jar Jar, Bounty Hunter C-3PO, Darth Dev, Darth Rey, Beach Luke, and Jedi Vader. In the video below, JANG will show you the set in detail. There is a lot to like here! This set comes with 1,579 pieces and the price is $179.99. Available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The #75393 LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter & X-wing Mash-up features a ‘TIE-wing’ and ‘X-fighter’, each with an opening cockpit for a minifigure and 2 spring-loaded shooters. Simply remove the locking pins to detach the wings from the hull of each vehicle and rebuild to create the familiar, iconic TIE fighter and X-wing. The wings of the ‘TIE-wing’/X-fighter are adjustable for flight and attack modes and, once rebuilt as the X-wing, the retractable landing gear can be used. The set also comes with four minifigures, a Rebel Pilot, a TIE Pilot, Yesi Scala, and Sig Greebling, plus an L3-G0 droid.
I really like the customization options of this set. Take a look at the video-review below for more details. The set comes with 1,063 pieces and the price is $109.99. Available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I want all three sets, but if I can only get one, it will be the x-wing and TIE fighter.
I picked up Jedi Bob’s Star fighter. (It’s what I can afford. For now). I’ve been to busy playing catch up on some Harry Potter sets. Plus my birthday is coming up soon. ( next week) I know I’m getting a lot of Lego sets. Oh, and Happy Spider-Man day. May the web’s be with you. 🕸🕷.
Ahhh! Happy Birthday next week! 🙂
Thwip Thwip Thwooray!
The mashup between spaceships are called “Uglies. “From the cartoon show the freemakers . In fact I wonder if Lego going to throw them in star wars :Rebuild the Galaxy.?
Oh, yes! I remember that! It would be fun if they would reference the Freemakers. That was a fun show! 🙂
Thank you. Thita.(admin). Is it just me, or is Lego doing more larger and expensive sets. I know Lego is very good at spreading things across the board so that everybody can get something from some themes. In my opinion, Lego should slow down or make less expensive large sets. Getting big to fast in any industry is a risk. I’m just a little nervous. I guess I’m still suffering from the Loss of Toys r us. I know Macy has it. But it’s not the same.
Lego is still the largest toy manufacturer in the world, as far as I know. I believe they know exactly what they are doing. These calculated gimmicks wouldn’t alienate Star Wars’ massive fanbase.
Or, a few of these sets were miscalculations, such as the massive Hulkbuster and the Black Panther bust, but overall, it seems as if the bigger sets are highly profitable.
I think it’s just feels that way because AFOLs tend to focus on the large sets. I know I’m guilty of that too. But there are so many great little sets that deserve just as much attention.
And yes, I miss Toys’R’Us too! In fact, I was just thinking of that yesterday! It was just a great place to wonder through the isles! It was also the place I checked out new LEGO sets. They had such nice displays! And sets always look different in real life no matter how many pictures and videos I have seen.
But the Danes are careful people. I’m sure they are watching trends and their numbers like a hawk. And LEGO is still a family-owned company. So hopefully they will manage themselves better.
I like all of these speed lines on the minifigs for the 75389 Dark Falcon set. Looks like some silly French comics from the 1970’s…
Haha! Now that you mention it, I see that too! 😀
I’m guilty of getting larger sets too. However I usually get them for birthdays or Christmas. Sometimes I find the smaller sets better than the bigger sets. That and the bigger sets might require a building permit . Lol.
