Towards the end of each year, LEGO retires many of its older sets to clear up room for new offerings coming in the following year. These sets will no longer be made once the current stock runs out. If you’re interested in any of them, it’s best to get them now, while they are still available directly from LEGO. Later, you will only be able to get them on the secondary market at usually higher than original prices. Below, we will discuss some of the highlights that are interesting to adult LEGO fans and collectors, and you can find the full list at the Retiring Soon section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Please note that as the holiday season advances, we will likely see more sets added to this list. And it is also likely that some of these sets will be on sale, especially during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday events and beyond. However, if you wait too late, you run the risk of the final stock running out. I would suggest getting the sets you really want early, and you can wait until later to pick up the ones you just want for parts. Again, for the fully updated list, visit the Retiring Soon section of the Online LEGO Shop.
Feel free to share and discuss the sets you plan to get in the comment section below! And if you notice any other sets added to the list or going on sale, you can add those below as well. Have fun shopping!

I recently built the tales of space age and it’s a great set! Better than I expected. Thanks for the list, by the way. I will definitely look thru it.
Apparently a lot of the set retirements are planned a year ahead of time. I’m not sure where Lego make the information public but certain other Lego fan sites publish the list far in advance of the end of the year. Makes it helpful to know what sets to prioritize when making Lego store buys to get a monthly GWP.
I have been meaning to pick up the typewriter, so I guess this is a good incentive.
Wow. I didn’t even see that yellow tusk elephant before. Monkie kid has some really surprising sets!
