I don’t know how many of you are active on Instagram, but today, the LEGO Group launched a brand-new Instagram page called @LEGOBuilds. This new channel is set to be the ultimate go-to Instagram destination for LEGO fans—a channel made by builders, for builders, with exclusive content, highlights, rewards, and more.
There is already a main LEGO page on Instagram at @LEGO with over 11 million followers, where they share pretty much the same content and advertisement as they do on their other social media outlets. The goal of the new channel is to gently steer casual fans to get deeper into the hobby.
At @LEGOBuilds, they plan to offer conversations with LEGO designers, deep dives into new set releases and retro sets, amazing LEGO creations by fans, LEGO fan event spotlights, exclusive LEGO Insider Rewards, and collaborations with LEGO fans and IP partners. If you’re interested, you can follow @LEGOBuilds on Instagram. You can also upload your own creations on Instagram and tag @LEGOBuilds and use the hashtag #LEGOBuilds.
This is not the first time the LEGO Group has tried new ways to engage with their fans on various platforms. They had success with some of these endeavors, while others fizzled out. But if you’re already on Instagram, you might want to check out this new channel and see where it goes. Who knows? They may even end up highlighting some of your creations.
