Room by Room – A Collection of LEGO Mini Builds

I recently discovered a LEGO on Amazon that I ended up liking a lot. All About the Details: Room by Room – A Collection of LEGO Mini-Builds by Chris Schroeder (author), Jesse Byrd (contributor) features hundreds of minifig-scale objects that you can add to LEGO City-themed buildings or LEGO Modular Buildings. Couches, chairs, tables, beds, toilets, electronics, furniture, fireplaces, plants, and more – you name it!

The book is specifically aimed at adult LEGO fans who would like to expand their displays, although it can also be enjoyed by teen builders, and even kids aged 8-12 can follow along. You can browse through 500+ beautiful designs in the book’s first half for ideas. Many designs have a page number attached. Each chapter covers a different room you might find in a LEGO Modular or LEGO City building, plus inspirational ideas.

Once you find something you like, flip to the page number in the book’s back half for the parts lists and instructions for select designs. Helpful notes on rare parts and special building techniques are detailed. Exploded views are included as a new, unique concept for compact instructions. You will learn new techniques while creating these intricate, elegant, and detailed designs. You can even combine designs to bring a whole room together. Below is a list of mini-builds featured in the book:

I really enjoy books like this as they help expand and customize LEGO City and LEGO Modular Buildings, and it’s fun to learn new building techniques using only a few pieces. Room by Room is available in three formats: ebook, paperback, and hardcover. The hardcover version features premium, glossy prints with rich, deep colors and a case laminate (hard) cover. All three versions of the book are available on Amazon:

What do you think? Do you like to add custom furniture and other small details to your LEGO city? Where do you get your inspiration? And if you already have it, how do you like this book? Feel free to share your thoughts and own review in the comment section below!

I will check this out. One of the things I most enjoy about the modulars is all the different furniture pieces.

Same. I also enjoyed building the clocks in the Tudor Corner.
