Now that Christmas is over, you might start thinking about packing away your LEGO Winter Village until the next Holiday season. Some LEGO fans completely take apart the sets and rebuild them each year, while others take apart the full layout but keep the sets built and pack them away in cardboard boxes, plastic storage tubs, or large ziplock bags.
We talked about some great storage solutions in the past (see links at the end of this post), and today I wanted to share another idea that’s perfect for LEGO Winter Village trains, vehicles, and some of the smaller brick-built accessories.
LEGO fan Bill Chambers shared in the LEGO Winter Village Facebook Group that he likes to use Starilite Christmas ornament boxes for his trains and other vehicles. They come with removable dividers. They are usually available at Wal-Mart and Target after the holidays, and they can also be found on Amazon in various configurations.
I like the cheery red color of the boxes. It’s a perfect match for the LEGO Winter Village. But more importantly, the boxes keep parts of the LEGO Winter Village safe and dust-free.
What do you think? How do you store your LEGO Winter Village during the off-season? Feel free to share your own storage solutions in the comment section below!

I got a couple of these at Target. They are very useful. There is also a double stacked version that I also like.
This are cool. I have been getting USPS shipping boxes to store extra stuff. They are convenient and free.
Just a note that some of these have plastic inserts and some have cardboard.
We keep our winter village out until the spring. Basically as long as there is snow on the ground. 😊
