Contest to build a LEGO Ninjago trophy!

A few days ago we discussed a really awesome contest announced in the July-August issue of the LEGO Club Magazine (see link at the end of this post), and today I would like to bring your attention to another great contest announced in the same issue of the magazine, this time for LEGO Ninjago fans. Below is the official announcement and all the details you need to know to enter the contest. Good luck! 🙂

LEGO Ninjago Contest LEGO Club Magazine

LEGO NINJAGO CONTEST INTRODUCTION: In the July August issue of the LEGO Club Magazine there are a couple of pages dedicated to the new LEGO Ninjago Airjitzu flyers and how to use them. There is also a call-to-action to host your own Airjitzu tournament, competing against your friends. Some suggestions are given of the type of challenges you can try. (We have also discussed some ways to compete with the Airjitzu flyers in this article: LEGO Ninjago Airjitzu Flyers Available Now!). It is on this same page where the LEGO Ninjago contest is announced.

LEGO Star Wars Death Star sold out

Just a quick alert that the extremely popular #10188 LEGO Star Wars Death Star is now shown as sold out at the Online LEGO Shop. There has been rumors of the set going out of production for some time now, and it looks like that time has come. The LEGO Star Wars Death Star was first was released back in 2008, and with 7 years behind it, it had the longest standing production run of any recent LEGO set. 🙂

On July 13th (so just a few days ago), the set was listed as “Call to check product availability” at the Online LEGO Shop. This is usually an indication that very little stock is left, and you need to call in to check if you could still place an order. By the following day the set has shown up as sold out. Usually sets that are shown as sold out will not be restocked.

If you haven’t bought the #10188 LEGO Star Wars Death Star yet, but it was on your wanted list, I would suggest that you put it on top of your priority list and act quickly before prices on the secondary market start to jump through the roof. While the Online LEGO Shop is sold out, you may still be able to find the set at local LEGO stores. Also, it is still listed on Amazon for $399.99, which is the original price. You can find it here: LEGO STAR WARS DEATH STAR ON AMAZON

The #10188 LEGO Star Wars Death Star is one of the best LEGO Star Wars sets of all time. The fact that it was designed like an open doll-house (sorry guys) makes it an excellent display-piece that is also full of play-features. There is also a huge number of minifigs with this set. Some of them feel a little outdated compared to today’s more detailed designs, but they would be easy to replace if you choose to.

Again, if this set was on your wanted list, please don’t delay. If for some reason LEGO restocks the set (although they extremely rarely do that on a retired set) it would be the same price so you won’t loose anything, but if you wait any longer and the last remaining copies sell out at retail stores expect to pay significantly higher prices. In case you were planning to get it later this year for Christmas or other holidays, just buy it now and put it away until then. Below is a full review of the set by JANGBRiCKS so you can see the details of the set for yourself.

What do you think? Do you already have the #10188 LEGO Star Wars Death Star? How do you like it? Or are you planning to get now? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉
