LEGO recently released the #21338 LEGO Ideas A-Frame Cabin, and there are also nine other fan creations that are in development via the LEGO Ideas platform and will be launching at different points in the future. But that’s not all. Over the past months, the LEGO Ideas review board evaluated 51 stunning product ideas that reached 10,000 supporters between early May 2022 and early September 2022, and they picked two other projects that will become official LEGO sets.
One of these projects is the LEGO Red London Telephone Box by John Cramp (a.k.a. Bricked1980). Being born and bred in Great Britain, John wanted to share his love for the British cultural and design icon that is the Red London Telephone Box. It’s so well known that you likely have seen or heard about it even if you haven’t visited Great Britain, as some telephone boxes were exported to other parts of the world! The second project that was just approved is the LEGO Nightmare Before Christmas by Simon Scott (a.k.a. Tvrulesmylife). There’s no doubt that Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas has a special place in Simon’s heart. This is in fact the second time he’s reached 10,000 supporters with his representation of this fan-favorite and much-loved stop-motion animated musical. Simon’s updated version also had a renewed focus on playability to really get immersed into the story. In addition, the next batch of LEGO Ideas product suggestions is already being reviewed as we speak. This time around 35 submissions made it through, cementing their spot in the review by reaching 10,000 supporters between early September 2022 and early January 2023. We can expect to hear about any selected models sometime this summer.
The LEGO Ideas team is still working out the final product design, pricing, and availability for the two selected projects and they will share more when the sets get closer to launch.
