LEGO Ninjago website update!

(Written by Nathan K. – ntk743)

Here is some exciting news for LEGO Ninjago fans; the official LEGO Ninjago website has been updated with some fresh content! Finally, as the old one was getting really… well… old. And outdated too. Below I will show you all the changes and what you can do on the new Ninjago site. 🙂

LEGO Ninjago Website

LEGO NINJAGO HOMEPAGE NEW FEATURES: The homepage have been redesigned with a fresh look. You can scroll featured videos and games just by using the arrows. So far there are only three slides to scroll through, but hopefully more will be added. I also like the new background with clouds and mountains. Very Ninjago-ish. 😀

LEGO NINJAGO SETS UPDATES: The LEGO Ninjago products section has been updated also with images and descriptions of all the new Ninjago sets. (From the Homepage navigation bar go to Products, then choose Models from the drop-down list.) You can access building-instructions, check prices, and add items to your wish-list all in one place as you scroll through the sets.

LEGO NINJAGO FINAL BATTLE GAME: There’s a new Ninjago game I find super fun! Games on LEGO’s website are usually not that exciting, but this one is great! The same game actually came out as an app for iOS devices a couple of months ago, so some Ninjago fans may be familiar with it already, but the point is that now you can play the game both online or on your Apple device. The game is full of action defeating the Stone Army and sometimes even Garmadon! Be any of the ninja, even the Gold Ninja! Move through each level defeating the evil army – because everyone knows good always wins!

LEGO NINJAGO VIDEOS: Although this feature is not new, I just want to mention that there are also tons of Ninjago videos under the Ninjago TV section you can access from the Homepage’s navigation bar – including shorts from the TV series, Ninjago set descriptions and lots more. Great fun and entertainment for Ninjago fans!

New LEGO magazine for families!

There is a new LEGO magazine that I would like to show you today, called The Brick Collectors Magazine. The magazine is written and published by the parents of two young children and is geared toward families. It is somewhat similar in content and style to the LEGO Club Magazine published by LEGO, so if you and your kids like that one, you will most likely enjoy this LEGO magazine as well. 🙂

LEGO Magazine LOGO

Here is a little bit from Joelle about her family and their LEGO interests: My husband and I have been LEGO enthusiasts since childhood, and we rediscovered LEGO bricks in our late teen years. Now we have 2 children of our own, who are fortunate to have a large LEGO collection amassed by mom and dad, at their disposal. We all enjoy LEGO bricks in our own way. I like to build LEGO Modular Buildings and seasonal models. My husband creates LEGO brick-films and has his own website, brickabrackstudios.com. Our son, age 8, loved everything Ninjago and is now totally into the new LEGO Legends of Chima theme. Our daughter, at age 2, is already an experienced LEGO builder. She has DUPLO bricks of her own to play with, but also loves the LEGO Friends line. She’s been around the small pieces since birth and has been successfully trained not to put them in her mouth. We have a LEGO room in our basement where the bulk of our large collection lives. You’ll find LEGO models and minifigures scattered throughout the rest of the house too – that happens in LEGO-families. So that’s a little bit about us.

LEGO Magazine Family

The Brick Collectors Magazine is about 20 pages and features games, puzzles, fun LEGO projects for both younger and older kids, helpful tips, interesting articles, and other information for the whole family.

LEGO Magazine Content

So far there are two issues available of this LEGO magazine, and you can download the PDF files here: The Brick Collectors Magazine Issue 1 -April/May and The Brick Collectors Magazine Issue 2 June/July. The PDF downloads are free, but you can also purchase printed copies if you like. The link to buy is at The Brick Collectors Magazine homepage. (Update: sadly, this magazine has been discontinued.)

LEGO Magazine Issues

If your family enjoys LEGO-time together I would highly recommend this LEGO magazine. It is very nicely put together and is full of fun and interesting projects and information for LEGO fans. I hope Joelle and her family will continue publishing further issues and The Brick Collectors Magazine becomes a bi-monthly staple for LEGO fans.

If you checked out this LEGO magazine already let me know what you think! And if you have some suggestions for further topics you would like them to cover share that also. I’m in touch with the producers of the magazine, and will forward your ideas. 😉
