LEGO recently introduced a new incentive to buy at the Online LEGO Shop by introducing free shipping on all orders over $75 every day and forever… well, at least until 2016… This will make online shopping so much more convenient; no need to wait for promotions or special offers for free shipping, which typically only happened around holidays. So, “Yay!” to LEGO for introducing everyday free shipping! 🙂

Free Shipping Everyday at LEGO

As we discussed previously there are lots of new LEGO sets released this summer; including the second wave of LEGO Galaxy Squad, a brand new LEGO Castle line, and new sets in the LEGO Creator, LEGO Legends of Chima, LEGO City, LEGO DUPLO and LEGO Hero Factory lines.

And there is also the LEGO Lone Ranger line, brand new for this summer and based on the Lone Ranger movie that will be released early July. Even if the movie flops (hopefully it won’t) the sets should be very popular with LEGO Western fans.

Oh, and besides free shipping you will also get a free exclusive Jor-El minifigure with purchases of $75 or more. Once your purchase reaches $75, your free exclusive LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Jor-El Minifigure will be automatically added to your shopping bag. Available only through the Online LEGO Shop and official LEGO stores.

If you have been a regular reader here you have probably seen those awesome and funny LEGO videos by the BrotherhoodWorkshop (see links at the end of this post). Due to popular demand the brothers have also shared a tutorial on some of the basics about making LEGO stop-motion videos, also called brickfilms (see LEGO Brickfilms Behind-the-Scenes Tips & Tricks). Today I would like to share with you another LEGO video tutorial the brothers put together, this time focusing on one of the most challenging aspect of brickfilming; how to make things fly. 🙂

LEGO Stop-Motion Video Tutorial by the BrotherhoodWorkshop

But before we look at the LEGO video tutorial let’s see the BrotherhoodWorkshop’s latest brickfilm, where the flying trick is used quite a bit. Then, in the tutorial-video you can see how it is done. So enjoy “LEGO Harry Potter Meets a Rancor” by the BrotherhoodWorkshop! Hagrid has always been obsessed with strange and dangerous creatures, but his newest pet may prove to be more than he bargained for! 😈

Funny, isn’t it? Now let’s check out the tutorial on how to make things fly in LEGO stop-motion videos. There are some very clever techniques shared here worth learning from. And even if you are not a brickfilmer it is interesting to see how things are done.

So what do you think? How did you like the LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Star Wars mix in the first video, and what about the tutorial? Did you learn something interesting? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below! And if you have any questions for the brothers on how things are done in their brickfilms, you are welcome to ask. 😉
