LEGO Avatar: The Way of Water Sets Overview

As we discussed already, four sets were released recently related to the first Avatar film by James Cameron. The four sets currently available are the #40554 LEGO BrickHeadz Jake Sully & His Avatar, the #75571 LEGO Avatar Neytiri & Thanator vs. AMP Suit Quaritch, the #75572 LEGO Avatar Jake & Neytiri’s First Banshee Flight, the #75573 LEGO Avatar Floating Mountains: Site 26 & RDA Samson, and the #75574 LEGO Avatar Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls. They are all available at the LEGO Avatar section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Since then, LEGO announced that they will be releasing five more sets on January 1st of next year. These will be related to the second movie, Avatar: The Way of Water. Although not much is known about the storyline, it has been revealed that the film will be set several years after the first and will explore the oceans of Pandora, and is scheduled for release in mid-December. Three additional films are also scheduled for the next several years. And we do have pictures and brief descriptions of each upcoming LEGO set.

#75575 LEGO AVATAR ILU DISCOVERY – Join Tsireya and Tuk for exciting underwater adventures. Recreate your favorite movie scenes and play out your own stories. Use your Na’vi kuru to connect with the ilu and hold tight as you glide and soar over the colorful coral reefs of the Pandoran seabed. The ilu (without display base) measures over 1.5 in. #75576 LEGO AVATAR SKIMWING ADVENTURE – Use the power of the Na’vi kuru to bond with the ferocious skimwing and hold tight as you glide through the coral-rich Pandoran ocean. Join Jake Sully and the Metkayina clan leader, Tonowari, for exciting ocean adventures. Recreate your favorite movie scenes and play out your own storylines. Explore the magic of Pandora with this beautiful LEGO Avatar set. The skimwing (without display stand) measures over 2.5 in. (6 cm) high, 13 in. (33 cm) long, and 13 in. #75577 LEGO AVATAR MAKO SUBMARINE – A Mako submarine, piloted by the evil RDA Quaritch, is patrolling the coral-rich seabed of the Pandoran ocean. Hide in the underwater cave where you can plan a way to free the Sully family’s human friend Spider from the sub! Join Na’vi heroes Neteyam and Ao’nung for action-packed adventures, recreate epic movie scenes, and play out your own stories with this amazing LEGO Avatar Mako Submarine set. Submarine (without display stand) measures over 3 in. (7 cm) high, 11 in. (29 cm) long, and 5.5 in. (14 cm) wide, and the set comes with 553 pieces. Price: $59.99. #75578 LEGO AVATAR METKAYINA REEF HOME – Travel to the alien moon of Pandora. Join Neytiri, Kiri, Ronal, and Tonowari at the Metkayina village, located by Pandora’s ocean reefs and suspended from the massive Pandoran mangrove-like trees. Paddle the Metkayina canoe and explore the colorful coral. Recreate your favorite movie moments, play out scenes, and create your own storylines with this beautiful LEGO Avatar set. The main hut measures over 7.5 in. (19 cm) high, 16 in. (41 cm) wide, and 9.5 in. (25 cm) deep, and the set comes with 528 pieces. Price: $79.99. #75579 LEGO AVATAR PAYAKAN THE TULKUN & CRABSUIT – Join Lo’ak and Tsireya for an undersea Pandoran adventure, where a menacing RDA trooper is exploring the seabed in a powerful and transformable crabsuit submersible. Hold tight to Payakan the tulkun as you speed through the water to safety. Relive favorite movie moments, create epic scenes and play out exciting storylines with this impressive LEGO Avatar set. The tulkun (without display stand) measures over 3 in. (8 cm) high, 15 in. (39 cm) long, and 12.5 in. (32 cm) wide, and the set comes with 761 pieces. Price: $99.99. Because the sets depict life underwater, there we can see some nice reef-building pieces and techniques. And they are also good sets for learning how to build stable stands for fairly large structures. In the video-preview below, JANGBRiCKS will discuss the sets in more detail.

November 2022 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions

This month, there are a couple of promotional items you can get. The #5007622 LEGO Fleece Blanket features iconic LEGO colors and designs with a soft and cuddly feel. LEGO is also offering two sets with Double VIP Points this month. The #41961 LEGO DOTS Designer Toolkit – Patterns with 1,096 pieces in beautiful colors and with plenty of design possibilities. The other set with Double VIP points is the #42139 LEGO Technic All-Terrain Vehicle with realistic details like an engine with moving pistons, a 2-shift (+ neutral) gearbox, a winch, and a tipping cargo bed.

Although it was released last month, I wanted to mention the #10308 LEGO Winter Village Holiday Main Street again, as it is such a sweet set. It includes two shops and apartments decorated with rich details and lively colors, a cute tram, a festive Christmas tree, happy minifigs, and various holiday accessories. Another new seasonal set is the #40573 LEGO Christmas Tree. The colorful tree is adorned with ornaments and candles and sits on a decorative mat built with LEGO plates and tiles. This is a 2-in-1 model, and you can choose to build 1 tree or 2 smaller trees. This set is also available at the seasonal items section of the Online LEGO Shop.

A brand new set this month is the #21337 LEGO Ideas Table Football. Measuring over 6 in. (15 cm) high, 16 in. (41 cm) wide, and 10 in. (29 cm) deep, you can play it anywhere with anyone. This compact table game has 2 rods on each side so up to 4 people can play a game at once. The set includes 22 minifigures (11 for each team), with 44 different heads and 43 hairstyles so you can customize the look of each character. Each team has a goalie, 2 defenders, and 2 strikers, and you can fill the grandstand with the rest of the minifigs. There are also color-coded sliding knobs above each goal so players can keep score. Another brand new set is the massive #76210 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Hulkbuster with 4,049 pieces and standing over 20.5 in. (52 cm) tall. It captures the scale and power of the Hulkbuster MK44 from Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron, featuring a multitude of movie-accurate features. Within the dark-red armor and strategically positioned golden plates lies a spacious cockpit, from which the #76206 LEGO Marvel Iron Man Figure (sold separately) can control the heavy-duty armor.
