LEGO Legends of Chima first trailer!

I’m so used to posting Ninjago episodes on Thursdays I don’t know what to do with myself. LOL! Anyhow, at the end of the last episode of Ninjago, Cartoon Network showed the first trailer of LEGO Legends of Chima – I thought to share that with you guys here so we can all discuss it instead of lamenting about the end of Ninjago. One legend is over and a new one begins… behold the Legends of Chima! 😛

Below is the trailer for LEGO Legends of Chima. Not very long, but it still gives us some hints and clues about the overall story and characters. (You can read more about the LEGO Legends of Chima story-line here: LEGO Legends of Chima Sets Pictures!)

I’m very hopeful for Legends of Chima. First of all it is created by the same team that was working on Ninjago. That could only mean good things. I know a lot of Ninjago fans are upset that the Ninjago saga is over, but I would suggest giving Chima a chance. In some ways it is a continuation of Ninjago as the same team created it, and it also gives us a fresh story. Also, it is likely that it will be even better as the designers learned a lot from the Ninjago experience, having a chance to perfect their skills. 😀

We have already discussed the first wave of LEGO Legends of Chima sets (see: LEGO Legends of Chima: The Story Revealed), and I have also heard rumors that larger sets are also coming later in 2013. Things like a lion-castle (maybe something like what you see on the first picture?) and an eagle-fort. That would be awesome! And how about a crocodile-lair as shown in the trailer? Wouldn’t that be awesome? 🙄

I really like the nature-fantasy blend of Legends of Chima. It also carries over the idea of both flying and ground vehicles from Ninjago.

Legends of Chima will also have large versions of at least some of the characters also called constraction figures (Construction + Action = Constraction – a term used by LEGO for large action figures) as the animals seems to be able to transform to a huge form when they use the power of chi.

There is also going to be a LEGO Legends of Chima game called Speedorz, based on interesting animal-shaped bikes powered by ripcords and given various challenges. (You can see all the Speedorz game-sets here: LEGO Legends of Chima Sets Pictures!)

So what do you think? How do you like LEGO Legends of Chima after seeing the trailer? I would love to hear your thoughts, especially if you are a Ninjago fan! Also, have you noticed other interesting of hidden details that may give us more clues about the story and the character? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss below! 😉

LEGO Minifigure Series 9 teaser pictures

Usually we first hear about and see pictures of new LEGO sets through the LEGO community grapevine. LEGO frowns upon our practice of trying to find out what’s coming, but what to do? It is so much fun to dig, to play the detective and be the first to unearth some never-before-seen future LEGO set then talk about them endlessly on various LEGO forums and blogs. So sorry, LEGO, we just can’t help it! 🙄

I guess to appease our terrible habit of digging up new stuff and understanding that it is never going to stop no matter what they do or what policies they set, this time LEGO decided to be proactive and release teaser-images of the Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 9 all on their own, and posted them at LEGO’s Facebook Page. 😀

Each of the upcoming minifigures from Series 9 are shown from the back, letting fans guess and speculate of who they are. According to LEGO’s Facebook Page you can check back on the 3rd of December for a better look.

Of course from previously leaked information informed LEGO fans are a bit ahead of the game than most casual followers of LEGO on Facebook, as we already know the names of the upcoming Collectible Minifigures Series 9. But it is still fun to match them up with the pictures, see which parts are used and if there is anything new, and also talk about how the minifigures would look from the front.

For your reference below is the list of the Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 9 we have talked about before here: LEGO Minifigure Series 9-10-11 News! Can you match up the pictures with the names?

Alien Trooper, Chicken Suit Guy, Maid Marion, Heroic Knight, Cyclops, Mermaid, Fortune Teller, Dr. Splitz, Roller Derby Girl, Judge, Battle Mech, Caesar, Downtown Cop, Plumber, Waiter, Hollywood Starlet

Did you have trouble identifying any of the Series 9 Minifigures? Which one is your favorite? Did you notice all the new parts and accessories?

Any of the Series 9 Minifigures you have questions or doubts about? For example to me the Roller Derby Girl looks more like a boy from the back, so I’m not sure about that one. Also, why is the judge a shortie? What do you think? Share your thoughts below! 😉
