LEGO Santiago Bernabéu Stadium Press-Release

The spectacular home of Real Madrid Club de Fútbol can now be built in
LEGO brick form as the ultimate display piece for fans. Below is the press-release with pictures and other details.

Today, the LEGO Group reveals a stunning homage to one of the most beloved football teams in the world — the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, a faithful replica of the home of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid C.F. is a sport entity with 119 years of history. It is the club with the most European Cups of both football (13) and basketball (10) and was awarded by FIFA as the Best Club of the twentieth century. Real Madrid has millions of fans in all corners of the world, with 384 million followers on social networks, and is for the third year in a row the most valuable football club in Europe according to The European Elite 2020 report, prepared by consultancy KPMG. Real Madrid is the most valuable football brand in the world for Brand Finance for the third year in a row and achieved the highest record in the Transparency Index of football clubs last season. More information about Real Madrid C.F. is available at www.realmadrid.com, the most visited soccer club website for the fifth consecutive year.

The #10299 LEGO Santiago Bernabéu Stadium set coincides with the club’s 120th anniversary and the 75th anniversary of the iconic grounds. The impressive set features 5,876 pieces and has been designed to be the ultimate display piece for Real Madrid C.F. and LEGO fans — and to symbolize the spectacular pride felt by fans watching a match take place at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. The measurement of the final model is over 5.5in / 14cm high, 17.5in / 44cm wide, and 15in / 38cm deep.

This interactive and immersive set features many specialized details which make it an accurate replica of the stadium from both up-close and afar. A lift-off roof and the ability to open up the model by “splitting” it in half, encourages users to engage with the many details of the set — from the pitch with the famous grass pattern, the venue’s iconic four towers, the goals, tunnel, dugout, scoreboard, banners, stickers, stairwells, iconic Real Madrid C.F. branding, and more.

Milan Madge, Designer at the LEGO Group commented: “Real Madrid is one of the most remarkable football clubs in history — which is why recreating the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in LEGO brick form was such an incredibly rewarding experience. Authenticity and sense of scale are key factors in this recreation so that builders can truly feel the atmosphere of this dazzling and vast stadium. This set allows builders to bring the much-loved home base of Real Madrid into their own home for years to come.”

The #10299 LEGO Real Madrid Santiago Bernabéu Stadium set goes on sale in Real Madrid stores, official LEGO stores, and the Online LEGO Shop from the 1st March 2022 for the recommended retail price of €349.99 / $349.99 / £309.99 /449.99 CAD / 549.99 AUD. For more information, visit the Online LEGO Shop.

This is the third LEGO set based on a real-life stadium. The #10272 LEGO Old Trafford – Manchester United was released in 2020, and the #10284 LEGO Camp Nou – FC Barcelona was released in 2021. Both of them are still available at the LEGO Creator Expert section of the Online LEGO Shop.

LEGO Survey – MINDSTORMS & SPIKE App Usage

As you might know, the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor set and LEGO SPIKE Prime kit each have a corresponding app but they can also function with the other app as well. Without any tracking, it is hard for the app developers to see if this cross-compatibility is being used. In order to learn more about this experience, the LEGO MINDSTORMS team has created a small survey to learn about app preference.

The LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor App is used for operating the robots in the #51515 LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor set, which you can find at the LEGO MINDSTORMS section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The LEGO SPIKE Prime app is used for the #45678 LEGO Education SPIKE Prime kit, which you can find at the LEGO Education section of the Online LEGO Shop.

If you have used either or both of the above-mentioned sets as well as the corresponding apps, or you are using the apps interchangeably, you can provide valuable information by filling out the survey. It only takes a few minutes. Here is the link: MINDSTORMS & SPIKE PREFERENCES SURVEY

Please note that the survey will open only until February 18th. So, if you have a few minutes, please fill it out and also feel free to share it with other LEGO fans. And if you have any comments or questions about the survey, you’re welcome to post them in the comment section below.
