LEGO Ideas Build Your Brick Story Contest

Inspired by the launch of the new LEGO House Exclusive set, the #40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute, the LEGO Ideas team is encouraging fans to step into the wonders of storytelling and build their own narrative – and to get the chance to win a signed copy of this exclusive set!

The launch of the LEGO Fabuland Tribute has made the LEGO Ideas team reflect on the love and joy of storytelling. Building and creating with bricks is heavily linked to creating narratives and unseen storylines. It’s those stories that capture our imagination, stir our emotions, and tap into our own passion, especially when we have created them ourselves.

The best stories stay with us forever because they may resonate with our own experiences or capture our fantasy visions. Whatever the reason, the right story triggers an emotive response. That’s why the LEGO Ideas team has decided that their next challenge is all about recreating that feeling.

Now is your chance to tell your own unique story through the creative medium of LEGO bricks. We’ve all imagined exciting plots and unforgettable twists in our heads. Perhaps your good guy is not the usual hero, or perhaps there’s an evil plan that is revealed in a surprising way! Whatever unique narrative your imagination may have created, the LEGO Ideas team wants to see it come to life in brick form. So dig deep, think of those stories that are truly yours, and recreate that scene in your very own brick design.

The world of storytelling is such a rich destination, that it’s now time for you to share your vision and story-packed world with your brick-builds, reveal that key scene, the epic moment, or simply introduce your characters. So tell your story for a chance to win an exclusive prize!

If you are the grand prize winner of this challenge, you’ll receive three LEGO House exclusive sets: the #40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute (signed by LEGO House Master Builder, Stuart Harris, and LEGO Senior Designer, Markus Rollbühler), the #40505 LEGO Building Systems, and the #40504 LEGO Minifigure Tribute, and two LEGO House tickets.

Two runner-ups will receive the following: #40506 LEGO Fabuland Tribute (signed by LEGO House Master Builder, Stuart Harris, and LEGO Senior Designer, Markus Rollbühler), and two LEGO House tickets.

If you’re interested in participating, submit your build by April 9th, 2025 at 6:00 AM EST. Experts will review and select up to 5 builds to move to the fan vote on April 25th, 2025. LEGO Ideas members can vote one time for their favorite build between April 28th and May 7th, 2025. The votes will decide the winners of the challenge and the results will be posted on LEGO Ideas no later than May 16th, 2025. As we discussed recently, the LEGO Group and BBC Studios have announced a new partnership, merging the globally adored world of Bluey with the fun and creative possibilities of the LEGO universe. The upcoming sets were revealed at the recent Toy Fair 2025 in New York City, and they are now available for pre-order. Details below.

Bluey, a loveable, inexhaustible Blue Heeler dog who lives with her Mum, Dad, and little sister, Bingo, has captivated audiences across the globe. The hugely popular animated TV series was 2024’s #1 most-watched series on streaming in the U.S., available on Disney+. Bluey is also a top-performing kids show in several other countries, including Australia and the UK.

The partnership and products aim to connect families and LEGO fans with the playful and relatable world of Bluey. The new LEGO Bluey theme includes a variety of build-and-play sets across LEGO DUPLO and LEGO 4+ to inspire imagination and offer diverse play experiences while supporting the development of EQ and IQ (emotional and cognitive quotients) skills in young children.

Roberta Cardazzo, Design Manager on LEGO DUPLO Bluey, says: “We are over the moon to bring the fun of Bluey to life with our new LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO sets. Just like Bluey and her family, these sets are all about having ‘Heaps of Fun’ and encouraging children and families to explore their creativity and imagination, all while learning through play. We hope families everywhere will enjoy building and playing together, creating their own memorable adventures!”

Suzy Lee Raia, SVP of Global Consumer Products at BBC Studios, says: “We are excited to finally unveil all six LEGO Bluey sets to the world! It’s truly wonderful to see the beloved world of Bluey come to life with LEGO bricks. Plus, Bluey is the first IP to be developed into both LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO ranges, which is a testament to the show’s cross-generational appeal. With 154 episodes and 20 ‘Minisodes,’ there are countless memorable games, moments, and stories from the series that families all over the world can recreate and reimagine together with these fantastic sets.”

Builders ages 2+ can enjoy hands-on play adventures as they create and imagine with the two sets from LEGO DUPLO.
