Get ready! The BrickLink Designer Program kicks off the second round of crowdfunding tomorrow, November 9th. Check out all nine candidate projects, and get ready to place your pre-orders at 12:00pm Pacific / 9:00pm CET. Only 10,000 of each project will be produced, and pre-orders are taken on a first-come basis. Details below.

In case you’re not yet familiar with the BrickLink Designer Program, you can read about it via the links at the end of this post, but in summary, a select group of LEGO Ideas projects that achieved 10,000 votes but weren’t chosen to become official LEGO sets, were given a second chance to become actual sets via this unique program. The first round of crowdfunding took place this summer and was very successful at getting pre-orders for the included project.
In the second round, which is beginning tomorrow, nine projects will be included; Mountain Windmill by Hanwas, Modular LEGO Store by Krisnow, Science Adventures by LegoAlatariel, Seasons in Time Calendar by BrentWaller, Retro Bowling Alley by avila, Ruined House by Kirteem, Clockwork Aquarium by Farquar, Quest Builder by legobouwer, and Venetian Houses by BlackQubit.

Just like in the first round, the first five projects to reach the threshold of 3,000 pre-orders will be produced. Successfully crowdfunded projects will become official BrickLink Designer Program sets. This means that only registered BrickLink members who pre-ordered will receive these exclusive sets. You can see detailed pictures, description, and prices for each of the projects at the BrickLink Designer Program Page.
If you’re interested in pre-ordering any of the projects, I suggest that you do it as soon as possible. Judging by the success of the first round, it’s possible that some of the projects will sell out fast. Please note that sets offered in Round 1 will ship in December 2021 or January 2022, and sets offered in Round 2 will ship starting in the third quarter of 2022. You can read more about the program on the BrickLink Designer Program FAQ Page.
What do you think? Did you pre-order any of the projects in Round 1? And are you getting anything from Round 2? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!
