Double VIP Points on all LEGO Purchases!

Awesome news! LEGO is currently offering Double VIP Points to LEGO VIP members! Double VIP Points doesn’t come up very often, so this is an excellent time to purchase some of the sets that are on your wanted list. The Double VIP Points offer is valid until October 20th at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop, but I suggest you take advantage of it as soon as possible as with the COVID-19 related delays and the holidays coming up, sets you want will potentially run out of stock.

Remember that there are a number of new sets that were released recently, including several holiday sets. This includes the #10275 LEGO Creator Expert Elf Clubhouse, which is the latest in the LEGO Winter Village series, the #40426 LEGO Christmas Wreath 2-in-1 set, a couple of small Christmas Ornament sets you can hang on your Christmas tree, and the #40425 LEGO BrickHeadz Nutcracker. You can find them all at the seasonal section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Although the Double VIP Points offer is valid on all LEGO products, it is especially beneficial for the large exclusive sets that do not go on sale otherwise. Some of the recently released large sets include the #75290 LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina, the #75978 LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley set, the #21323 LEGO Ideas Playable Piano, the #71374 LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System, the #43179 LEGO Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse Buildable Characters, the four new LEGO Art mosaics, and many new sets under LEGO Batman, LEGO City, LEGO Creator 3-in-1, LEGO Disney, LEGO Friends, LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Hidden Side, LEGO Iron Man, LEGO Monkie Kid, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Super Mario, LEGO Technic, and LEGO Trolls. LEGO Ideas Contest – Make Your Own LEGO Art!

Art is incredibly subjective, but what is art to you? The LEGO Ideas team is running a new contest, challenging LEGO fans to build their own art piece with LEGO bricks. This sounds like a fun contest where you can use your creativity to the utmost. And the prizes are amazing! Below is the announcement from the LEGO Ideas team about the contest, as well as other details.

“Show us what art means to you, using LEGO bricks. It can be anything you like, so long as it’s the best work of art you can make! You must also be able to build your model physically, because the winning entries will be displayed in the new LEGO Campus in Billund, Denmark! Failure to build your model physically if you’re chosen as a winner, means you will be disqualified. For this contest, we don’t have specific element requirements. But the judges are looking to display this artwork. So things that are absolutely tiny, or absolutely massive may not be selected as winners.”

The contest will consist of 3 phases: 1.) Submission Phase – Build and submit your entry before November 3rd, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. EST. 2.) Judging Phase – LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose the winners by November 12th, 2020. 3.) Winners Announcement – The grand prize winner and two runner up winners be announced on LEGO Ideas no later than November 19th, 2020.

If you would like to enter this contest, here are the steps: 1.) Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as LEGO Digital Designer. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance your photos/presentation. If you submit a digital entry, you must make sure that you are able to build your entry in physical bricks in case your build is selected to be exhibited in the LEGO Campus. 2.) Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. 3.) Add a title and short description. 4.) Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the contest entry page.

The standard LEGO Ideas contest rules apply, including that you must be the original creator of all creative work you submit (the model, images, photographs, description text, etc.) and you must have the exclusive right to submit your model to this LEGO Ideas contest. Entries must be new creations and not previously posted online or submitted to any other contest. You are allowed to use any official LEGO element (LEGO System, LEGO DUPLO, LEGO Technic/Constraction) in your entry. The LEGO elements must be genuine (not cut, glued, or otherwise modified). Entries should not contain copies or references to any other existing third-party work or creation or infringements of any third-party intellectual property right, such as Ford, Star Wars, etc. You may use generic minifigures in your entry that do not refer to any third-party intellectual property. You must be at least 13 years of age to participate and enter. You can read the rest of the rules on the contest entry page.

If you’re one of five winners of this contest, you’ll win the following: A complete LEGO Art series of your choice, of either: 4 x #31197 LEGO Art Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, 4 x #31198 LEGO Art The Beatles, 3 x #31199 LEGO Art Marvel Studios Iron Man, or 3 x #31200 LEGO Art Star Wars The Sith. In addition, your artwork will be displayed in the new LEGO Campus, Billund, Denmark! If you would like to learn more about the above mentioned sets, visit the LEGO Art section of the Online LEGO Shop.

This is a great opportunity for all LEGO fans to use their imagination and stretch their creativity. What does art mean to you? How would you express it LEGO bricks? What would you build? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!
