As we discussed at the beginning of the month, all the early 2020 LEGO sets are now available at the Online LEGO Shop. If you are interested to find all the new sets in one place head over to the January 2020 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions page.
I also wanted to make sure that you’re aware that LEGO is offering Double VIP Points on two of the new sets this month. The #60246 LEGO City Police Station features a light-brick searchlight and a police car with sound-brick siren, plus a truck, motorcycle, and surveillance drone. And you also get seven minifigs and two dogs (one of them is a brand new mould!). Yes, I know, it’s just another police station, but there is always a new generation of kids who need little law enforcers in their LEGO city. You can find the set at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The other set this month with Double VIP Points is the #75272 LEGO Star Wars Sith TIE Fighter from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker film. It features an opening cockpit and two spring-loaded missiles. There’s also a docking tower for launch, landing, and to display the TIE Fighter. The three minifigs are a First Order TIE Pilot, a Knight of Ren, and Finn. While this is the only LEGO Star Wars set currently offered with Double VIP Points, you might still consider combining it with another new set, the #75273 LEGO Star Wars Poe Dameron’s X-wing Fighter for epic First Order vs. Resistance battles. Both are available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
On a related note, I also wanted to mention that the January 2020 LEGO retail catalog is now available online. I know many LEGO fans love to flip through the catalog this time of the year, but if you don’t have a physical copy yet, you can look through it online. I included some of the images from the catalog below, and you can enjoy all 108 pages here: 2020 LEGO RETAIL CATALOG
As you can see, the 2020 LEGO retail catalog includes both some of the 2019 sets as well as the majority of the 2020 sets. There is so much to choose from and save up for! And the catalog also advertises the new LEGO Building Instructions app we talked about the other day, so you may want to give that a spin as well if you haven’t done so already. It seems like retailers are pretty slow putting the new sets on shelves this year, but you can always find the full selection at the new sets section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? Which of the new LEGO sets are you most excited about? Did you get any of them already? Feel free to share your thoughts and own reviews in the comment section below!
