Which LEGO Sets Are On Your 2025 Wish-List?

The weather has been quite blah lately, even here in the sunshine state, so I spent the Christmas break working on my LEGO city display and other building projects. My city is quite small compared to the giant metropolises many LEGO fans have, spreading out on two long shelves, so I need to be selective about what I get. I started putting together my LEGO wish-list for next year, and I’m also curious what others are looking forward to the most.

The LEGO Modular Building Collection has been a hit or miss for me in the past few years. I really liked the #10278 LEGO Modular Police Station from 2021, and the #10312 LEGO Modular Jazz Club from 2023. On the other hand, I found the #10297 LEGO Modular Boutique Hotel from 2022 too out of line in color and design, and the #10326 LEGO Modular Natural History Museum too short, too wide, and too gloomy. I did build these sets, but ultimately I decided not to use them in my city except for some design elements, furniture pieces, and decorations. In a couple of days, LEGO is releasing the #102350 LEGO Modular Tudor Corner, and I’m already totally in love with every part of this building. Even if I can’t get anything else, I will be adding this to my city! If you haven’t done so already, you can check it out at the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

As I mentioned a few days ago, from the LEGO Botanical Collection, I’m adding the remaining two sets from The Four Gentlemen series. I built several of the sets from the LEGO Botanical line, but these are the only four I plan to keep on display. They are elegant, showy, and compact, and the four look great together! They are $30 each and are available at the LEGO Botanical section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Another botanical-type set on my wish-list is the #10359 LEGO Icons Fountain Garden, the second set in the LEGO Icons Gardens of the World series. It comes with some pretty botanical pieces and decorative elements that I would like to incorporate into my city. It’s $100 though, so I may have to wait until the pieces are available at Bricks & Pieces and BrickLink. But if you want to check it out, you can find it at the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I’m also looking forward to building the #10355 LEGO Blacktron Renegade, a remake of a LEGO Classic Space set. I’m mostly Team Blue/Gray when it comes to LEGO Classic Space and never owned any of the original Blacktron sets, but I like the asymmetrical look and modularity of this one. And I also see the potential for customization. This set will be available on January 1st at the LEGO Icons section of the Online LEGO Shop.

As usual, I will be getting the two LEGO Technic Pull-Back Racers as they are fun to play with when my nephews and nieces are over. This is the fourth year the Pull-Back Racers feature Monster Jam vehicles (two each year in 2021, 2022, 2023, and now 2025 – they deviated in 2024 with the #42165 LEGO Technic Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 Pull-Back Racer and the #42166 LEGO Technic NEOM McLaren Extreme E Team Pull Back Racer). The upcoming #42199 LEGO Technic Monster Jam DIGatron Pull-Back Racer and the #42200 Technic Monster Jam ThunderROARus Pull-Back Racer are much of the same as the previous ones, but they are sturdy, dependable, and fun to build, so I don’t mind getting them. They will be available at the LEGO Technic section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I would also really like to get the #60446 LEGO City Modular Galactic Spaceship. I guess this is the final set to the LEGO City Space wave that was released in 2024. I love this series of space sets, and it looks like this latest addition won’t disappoint either. And the price is not too bad at $80. It will be available starting in a couple of days at the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.

And I’m hoping to be able to pick up the new characters from LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series 27. All the minifigs are fun and they come with useful accessories. I will probably try to get these locally instead of ordering them online, but you can also get them at the LEGO Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I’m considering the new LEGO Chinese New Year sets, as they are always so pretty and come with so many unique pieces. This time, we will be getting the #80116 LEGO Chinese New Year Trotting Lantern, and the #80117 LEGO Chinese New Year Good Fortune set. The lantern features a working shadow theater and I like the decorated vase and fan in the other set. However, they are pretty expensive, so I would like to see some reviews on these before making a commitment. You can check them out at the seasonal items section of the Online LEGO Shop.

One final collection I will keep an eye on next year is LEGO Friends. The smaller sets are often great additions to LEGO City setups, and with some modification, the largest one can work well in LEGO cities and even with LEGO Modular Buildings. And you can often find them on sale both locally and online. If you want to browse through the upcoming collection, visit the LEGO Friends section of the Online LEGO Shop.

So for me, the new Modular Building is first, then a couple of LEGO Space sets, and a few smaller sets that fit my interest or would make good additions to my city. How about you? What’s on your LEGO wish-list for next year? Feel free to share your favorites in the comment section below!
