With Christmas approaching soon, many LEGO fans spend their time setting up their LEGO Winter Village scenes and other holiday decorations. We discussed several different options to set up your LEGO Winter Village from small setups to elaborate layouts (see links at the end of this post).

Another way to customize your LEGO Winter Village is by adding smaller models that you either design yourself or get instructions for from other LEGO fans. In the past, we covered several resources (including books you can purchase on Amazon) that feature step-by-step instructions for custom models that match the festive theme and charming style of the official LEGO Winter Village sets (again, see links at the end of this post).

Today, I wanted to highlight yet another talented LEGO fan who specializes in building small add-on models for LEGO Castle, LEGO Pirates, and LEGO Winter Village layouts. Their username is MarinBrickDesign at Rebrickable.com, and this year they created a whole series of small Christmas-themed models for each day counting down to Christmas, advent calendar style. The collection includes festively decorated trucks, small shops, and various winter activities.

Some of the parts lists and instructions are free to download, while others have a minimal cost to support the designer. I highlighted some examples of their work in this post, but there are many more!

Cute designs, aren’t they? I particularly like the style and festive colors of the vehicles. Again, you can just use them for inspiration for your own designs, or download the parts lists and step-by-step instructions from the designer’s page at Rebrickable.com for any of the models. They are perfect additions to a LEGO Winter Village layout, or you can add them to your regular LEGO City for a bit of holiday cheer. Even just one of these models can set the mood for your city! Have fun and feel free to share your own LEGO decorations and ideas for the holidays!
