Fun & Spooky LEGO Sets for Halloween!

With Halloween coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to go through some of the currently available LEGO sets with a Halloween/spooky theme.

The #40721 LEGO Halloween Barn is a small $15 set with some fun features like sharp teeth hidden behind the door and a scary eye behind the window. One skeleton is included as well as some nice decorative elements like a lantern, bat, and a small tree. Available at the seasonal items section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The #21351 LEGO Ideas Disney Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas features connectible models of three iconic locations; Spiral Hill, Jack Skellington’s house, and the Halloween Town Hall. It features some authentic details, such as the walking bathtub, a chalkboard in Jack’s house with his formula for Christmas, and a lectern at the Town Hall where Jack gave his speech about Christmas. The included characters are Jack Skellington, Sally, Santa Claus, Lock, Shock, and Barrel, plus Zero the dog, and a brick-built The Mayor with two faces. We talked about this set in detail previously (see links at the end of this post), and if you’re interested, you can find it at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

A top Halloween gift idea for fantasy-comedy fans, #21341 LEGO Ideas Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage can be opened in multiple ways for easy viewing of the interior details, including the museum gift shop, cauldron with a LEGO light brick to illuminate the fire underneath, Book of Spells and the witches’ bat-infested bedroom. Detach the side room where Dani Dennison was captured by the witches and turn the water wheel outside to make pink ‘smoke’ puff out of the chimney. Available at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The two Wednesday sets are also pretty good starter sets for Halloween because they include lots of spooky elements and accessories in black and other dark colors. These are also sets we discussed in detail (see links at the end of this post). You can find them at the LEGO Wednesday section of the Online LEGO Shop.

If you’re a Super Mario fan, the #71436 LEGO Super Mario King Boo’s Haunted Mansion is full of ghostly characters and haunted features like an elevating sofa and a bookcase with a key-reveal function. The set also includes four characters; King Boo, a Yellow Baby Yoshi, a Dry Bones, and a Boo. Available at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Even some of the LEGO Harry Potter sets would be good projects for Halloween! Like the #76437 LEGO Harry Potter The Burrow – Collectors’ Edition, or many of the smaller sets. For ideas, you can browse the LEGO Harry Potter section of the Online LEGO Shop.
