BrickArms is one of the best known LEGO customizers, filling a huge gap that LEGO would not touch; authentic-looking modern weapons.

BrickArms is owned, run and operated by Will Chapman and his entire family. Will designs all of the custom weapons, and his wife and their three sons are all involved in various aspects of the business. Currently BrickArms produces over 100 different LEGO minifig weapons, accessories, weapon packs and custom minifigs.

QUALITY: Will uses a 3D parametric modeling program, which produces CAD files. A mold-maker then uses these files to program a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) milling machine to cut cavities into both halves of the mold. When the cavities are ready, Will uses an expensive injection molding machine to inject hot ABS plastic (the same plastic used by LEGO) into the mold with 90 tons of pressure. Once the ABS cools, the mold-halves are separated, and out pops the weapon or accessory. You can’t ask for better quality and precision that this! 😉

MOLD DETAIL: Will puts great effort into designing each weapon as authentic as possible, yet fitting with the style of LEGO. The result is instantly recognizable weapons and accessories comfortable in the hands of LEGO minifigs!

COLORS: BrickArms accessories are available in several LEGO-compatible colors. Accessories and weapons in black, dark-gray, gunmetal, silver and tan match LEGO colors perfectly. In addition, some really special colors are also available on a limited basis, like chrome-silver and camo.

PRODUCTS: BrickArms main focus is on WWII and other modern weapons. However they also provide some really beautiful blade-weapons. (Occasionally  fully customized and equipped LEGO minifigs are also available.) In addition Will is constantly working on new designs! 😛

SUMMARY: You can’t go wrong with BrickArms. This is a very solid company with great products, an extensive product-line and an international fan-base. Recently Will has announced that he will focus entirely on the design-process and work with authorized resellers to manage all orders. This is a good sign that the company will continue to grow to fill the needs of LEGO-fans well into the future. 😉

Yeah, I know. I’m not so happy about this either. But it is not the end of the world (just close!). I’m sure fans will get used to it. I really liked Will’s freebies. He knew how to surprize his fans! 😛

I agree, brickarms products are excellent! They are a one-stop-shop for modern weaponry! I wish they would carry the camo patterns on a regular basis though! Right now they are only available at shows and as freebies in orders.

Jeff, yes, I also wish BrickArms woudl carry the camo stuff regularly! They are so sweet! I’m planning to place an order soon to get some of long-awaited tactical swords, so hope I will get some camo too! 😉

Thanks for this great review! BTW, I just placed an order for some BA stuff. First I choose Toywiz as they had an option to choose your own free weapon. Unfortunately they were out of all the free weapons I would have wanted, and when I got to the checkout streen the shipping fee was so much more than I expected. Something like $6 for a few small weapons! 🙁
So I tried GI Brick. I never dealt with them before, but they had a good looking website. They only sell BA. Prices were the same, but shipping was about a $1.30 less, so I went with them. And I still got a free weapon! 😉

We need to order some brickarms weapons but we do not want to pay double or triple the amount of the purchase for shipping them!!

Debbie, you can go through the BrickArms reseller list and see which one offers the shipping options that works best for you. There are also BrickArms sellers on eBay and BrickLink, so you might want to check there as well. BrickArms products are also available at LEGO conventions where you can pick them up personally – no shipping required. There are also specials going on from the various resellers, especially around the holidays. This may mean free shipping, discounted prices, or special bundles. And you can always contact shops directly if you have some questions. Hope this helps some to find what you want. 😉
