Eurobricks Western contest!

Do you want to win BIG? Then check this out! Just on the heels of the recent Pirates of the Caribbean Contest (voting is open – check here), Eurobricks is launching another LEGO contest; this one with a Western theme. Yeehaw! 😛

So, do you have what it takes to survive in the rough and tough Wild West? Think you know how to MOC down and dirty? Well, here is your chance!

âž¡ CATEGORIES: There are 3 categories you can enter! And you are allowed to enter with multiple entries! Here they are:

  1. DESIGN A WILD-WEST TRAIN: Limit yourself to a maximum of four wagons/cars/coaches/flat beds etc. Engine can include a tender as well and it will not be included in the four car limit. You are allowed to include railway track, however a full MOC background is not permitted as this category is all about the train! You are free to use as many figures on or around the train.
  2. BUILD A WESTERN INFLUENCED TOWN: Let your imagination run away from you. This category could include a saloon township, Indian reservation, cavalry fort, mining town, or whatever screams Western to you! Maximum size of 64×64 studs. As many figures as you like too!
  3. DESIGN A VIGNETTE WTIH CUSTOM WESTERN FIGURE: Build a vignette (maximum size 16 x 16, with minimal overhang allowed) featuring your custom western figure. You may include other figures in your vignette as well; just make sure to indicate which figure is the custom center piece.

âž¡ PRICES: First place winners in Category 1 and 2 will each get a budget of 200 Euros ($283) to buy whatever sets they want at the online LEGO store (plus money for shipping). The first place winner in category 3 will receive a budget of 50 Euros ($70). The prizes for second-place winners in all categories are sponsored by Brick Warriors; winners will receive a custom Western figure with accessories!

âž¡ DEADLINE: You have until Saturday, the 10th of September for your LEGO contest entry. That’s 8 weeks to churn out something amazing!

These contests are really amazing! There was nothing like this when I was a kid! I would have probably never gotten into my dark ages if these (and the internet in general) were around! 😀

Totally agree with you on that! I thought I supposed to grow out of LEGO when I was a teen! Now I know it is not mandatory at all! 😆

I plan to enter category 3, but am a little nervous as I’ve just gotten back into LEGO! I’ve been planning for a while, though, so that should help. Now, time to start tinkering. 🙂
