LEGO Lord of the Rings – video reviews

In high anticipation of the upcoming LEGO Lord of the Rings theme, today I thought to share with you some video-footage taken at the New York toy fair by FBTB.net. I would recommend that you also check out the previous post; LEGO Lord of the Rings Sets – First Pictures, which lists all of the LEGO Lord of the Rings sets with lots of pictures, details and prices. The following videos reveal some of the special characteristics of three of the LEGO Lord of the Rings sets. Enjoy! 😀

#9473 LEGO LORD OF THE RINGS The Mines of Moria – On their epic journey across the lands of Middle-earth, the heroic Fellowship of the Ring travels through the abandoned Mines of Moria. Pursued by the evil Moria orcs and a giant Cave Troll, Pippin, Boromir, Gimli, and Legolas make a stand in Balin’s Tomb…

#9474 LEGO LORD OF THE RINGS The Battle of Helm’s Deep – The walled fortress of Helm’s Deep is under attack by the mighty Uruk-hai army and the forces of men, elves, and a dwarf must do everything they can to stop them from breaching the fortress walls…

#9476 LEGO LORD OF THE RINGS The Orc Forge – The first time the Orc Forges are seen in the Lord of the Rings movies is when Saruman is creating a group of Uruk-hai to pursue the Fellowship. The second time the Orc Forges are seen is in The Two Towers when Saruman is creating a 10,000 strong army to kill Theoden and his men at Helm’s Deep…

I absolutely love the battle of Helm’s Deep. The new horses are really cool. I also like the mines of Moriah. The Orc forge is pretty cool too, but not as much as the other sets.

Yep, Helms Deep is pretty exciting! 😀

Hey, admin, I think that if this theme takes off, it may last a long time like star wars has. It would take many years of production, anyways, to have a reasonably complete LOTR and hobbit collection.

Lloyd, that would be great! 😀

I have a list of minifigures that I couldn’t understand why they didn’t make the cut. Sauron, Sauraman, and Elrond. I would also like to see Sauraman’s tower, Elrond’s house, the forests of Lorien, a balrog etc. I am sure this will appear later, however.

they would probably be released later. After all they are major characters. 🙂

Is there a way I could have these videos to add to my Facebook LOTR LEGO page?

    • admin May 6, 2012, 9:32 PM

I’m sure you can. Just use the embed code. 😉

  • LegoLOTR May 7, 2012, 3:38 PM

    How?

  • Ryan May 14, 2012, 8:34 PM

I wonder what sets could be in the next wave… I have high hopes for a minas tirith or a balrog ,or a fell beast flying nazgul! or better yet A giant oliphaunt fortress! or maybe a rock troll pushing a giant watchtower! or a warg rider! the ent uprising or the uruk hai camp were merry and pippin are being held! The possibilities are endless!

    • admin May 14, 2012, 10:14 PM

Ryan, yeah, once you start thinking about the possibilities, you kind of get a head-buzz! The LOTR universe is so big with so many options, LEGO could be producing sets for decades! It could very well have the same success as the Star Wars line! 😛

Hey Admin! How do I get the embed code?

    • admin May 30, 2012, 6:56 PM

If I remember correctly I got these videos from Flickr, so just click on the video (click anywhere within the image of the video), and it will open up the link to Flickr. Once there just click on the SHARE button above the video and you will get the embed code. 😉
