It is a shame that LEGO Friends don’t have the same kind of passionate fans as Ninjago. It feels lonely writing these Friends posts and nobody says anything. Attention! Friends needs friends! ๐Ÿ™

I LOVE Lego Friends!!! & I thank Lego for coming out w/ girl legos so now my daughter has her own. Now she doesnt have to fight her brother to play w/ his lego batman, indiana-jones, star wars & ninijago sets (even though she loves nia, jay & lloyd!!!)
I like the horse theme sets, but I think its too many. Do something like a shopping store/mall, a bigger concert stage, etc. I love the plane & camper. Those will be the ones we’ll definitly buy first!!!
THAAAANNNNK YOU LEGO!!!!! WE ARE FANS!!!

Kat, thanks for sharing! Yeah, I also thought that LEGO went a little overboard with horses this time. The first wave was much more balanced. Maybe LEGO thinks that all little girls spend their summers in horse-camps? ๐Ÿ™„

Yes, I know a billion girls in my school that waste their whole summer riding horses… I am not really a fan of this stuff, but the mansion is kinda cool.

Don’t be lonely. I like the Friends sets. Most of them anyways. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll skip the vehicles but the buildings are good for my town after some modification. Do wish TLG will come out with more sets like the Cafe and Beauty Salon.

I’ll probably go for the Summer Riding Camp and Mia’s Bedroom this time.

By the way over in Singapore the Friends sets sell like hot cakes. Some sets are even out of stock in some stores.

admin May 6, 2012 at 8:59 AM

Oh, nice to have ya over here! I know you will do an awesome job with those buildings! Incorporate them into your Friends Modulars maybe? ๐Ÿ˜‰

As far as I know, Friends sell well here too, it is just that they don’t have such passionate and vocal online fans as Ninjago. ๐Ÿ˜€

The sets still feel very mix matched in terms of colors, especially the camper (granted, lime green is a color I have gotten kinda tired of in general just because LEGO has used it so much. I do really like the new horse riding helmets, though I wish that the one with blond hair was available in a less expensive set. the black is not bad, but it does not have a good deal of contrast. Perhaps it looks better in person.

admin May 6, 2012 at 6:39 PM

Jacob, yeah, I was also thinking the colors are over the top in several of these sets. Especially the camper. It is such a sweet camper otherwise! I don’t know why they had to do such a strange color combination! Do little girls really want pink in everything? ๐Ÿ˜•

Yay! More Friends sets! I love these, along with like ALL of the LEGO themes. XD
I feel sorry for Friends because of all of the bashing they have gone though for ‘sexist’ sets. These sets are not sexist! I mean, how is a girl wanting to be a Nobel-prize winning scientist sexist??? *sigh* I swear people try to bash everything without solid evidence.

Yes, Friends are sweet, and so far doing well. I was just reading today that actually all the backlash from the feminists worked out in LEGO’s favor; giving Friends lots of media-attention and making it more popular. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for posting these pictures! We are super excited about the new sets! My kids and I that is. The colors for Lego friends bricks are pretty. We change the sets a lot by adding my boy’s Legos.
Thanks for being so thorough, by telling us the price and when it will come out. We are excited for the new girls that come with these sets. It is our hope that they will put thicker or better paint on the girls, because it is rubbing off. Maybe they’ll get better over time.

My daughter and I LOVE Lego Friends!!!! We can’t wait to get the summer sets, especially Mia’s bedroom (she plays the drums too) and the Summer Riding Camp. So glad Legos has this now.

I don’t really think a teenager girl pilot is any more stupid than a jet-propelled ninja ship or monster hunter cyborgs… ๐Ÿ˜‰

ellie June 21, 2012 at 5:13 PM

yeah i love this stuff but i think that they should do more houses like olivias, also like a mall , it would also be good if you can get more cars for the friends but other than that its amazing.

Reply

admin June 21, 2012 at 5:33 PM

Ellie, thanks for sharing! Yes, more houses and cars would be great for this line. As LEGO is planning to keep Friends as a staple theme, we will probably see a lot more, based on the feedback children and parents give them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for posting these pictures, it’s really great to see some close-ups of what the new summer sets will look like! We already own the majority of the sets that are currently released, except for the house. I’d definitely love to see more house-type sets come out. I also wish they’d have more sets that would focus on little girl things (some of the horse stuff follows that line) instead of teen things. Like, a playground, a school, a big swimming pool, etc., instead of a beauty salon and cafe.

Sarah, those are excellent suggestions about sets for younger girls! Would love to see them being made! Thanks for sharing! ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember Fabuland contained several playgrounds and amusement parks back in the 80’s. It would be interesting if Friends went in sort of a Playmobil direction with sets modelling general houses and situations, sort of a cuter version of Lego City. If there was a good Friends hospital with new minifig accessories, AFOL:s would likely stock up on them.

Carlin, I’m glad your daughters have fun with Friends! LEGO Friends is still very new, so as LEGO gets more feedback I’m sure they will expand the line. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love lego friends . Why can’t other people see that lego friends are pretty much the same thing as regular Legos??

Reply

admin April 27, 2014 at 10:15 AM

Cupcake, LEGO Friends is regular LEGO, so no problem there. LEGO has many different product-lines and themes, and people like different ones, and may not care for other ones. Like I don’t care for LEGO Technic, and as far as construction, elements and functionality Technic is just as far from “regular” LEGO as LEGO Friends is. No need to worry about what other people like and dislike. If you like LEGO Friends, be happy. ๐Ÿ˜‰
