You decide! Includes 2 minifigures: Frank Rock and Swamp Creature.

LEGO Monster Fighters – The Mummy: Stop the Mummy’s chariot and take the moonstone! In her cool helicopter, hero Ann Lee flies after the Mummy making an escape in the ghostly chariot. The skeleton horses glow in the dark!

LEGO Monster Fighters – The Werewolf: Avoid the treetop ambush and recover the Werewolf’s moonstone! Major Quinton Steele spots the Werewolf’s moonstone under a tree. But it’s an ambush! LEGO Monster Fighters – The Ghost Train: Stop the Ghost Train in its tracks and grab the moonstone! The Ghost Train is getting away with the moonstone. Help Frank Rock and Ann Lee catch it in their acrobatic airplane, suck up the ghosts with the vacuum weapon and grab the moonstone! Don’t let them trap the heroes in the Ghost Train’s prison! LEGO Monster Fighters – Vampyre Castle: Enter Vampyre’s castle and rescue the world from eternal darkness! It’s time for the final showdown with the Vampyre! He has gathered all 6 moonstones at his castle and is about to cloak the world in darkness forever so that his followers can roam free for the rest of eternity! Will our heroes Dr. Rodney Rathbone and Jack McHammer survive the castle’s hidden spikes and traps to disable the moonstone device?

The LEGO Monster Fighters sets are also available on Amazon, however listings have been getting out of stock very quickly. Make sure you look at listings that are directly from Amazon.com to receive the best prices and free shipping. Below are some of the listings:

The LEGO Monster Fighters theme is a really interesting project developed by LEGO designers. I know monsters, zombies, and evil creatures are very popular with kids (and adults) these days, but only time will tell how successful Monster Fighters will be. What do you think? 😉

YAY another 1st comment!!! I gotta say when I saw these on Monday at the store I was very impressed with the Vampire Castle minifigs as well as the swamp monster. Gotta get those giant man-bats.

  • admin has said DONT say first to comment 😡

    • gid617 May 23, 2012, 1:32 PM

Admin just sid be sure to say something else too. Don’t just say you’re the first one. Anyway, I don’t really like the monsters – at least not most of them, although I like the Rody Rathbone guy (or what ever his name was!).

      • admin May 23, 2012, 1:37 PM

I’m not a fan of vampires and monsters either, but I do like the ghosts (glow-in-the-dark!) so will try to get a couple of them, and also the bats! Gotta get me lotsa bats!

        • Micho May 23, 2012, 2:35 PM

I agree, I too gotta get lots of man-bats!!!! Also those glowing ghosts are like the 2.0 versions of the Classic Castle ghosts.. AWESOME!!!! The sets look much better in person than they do on picture actually, and that’s coming forma someone who is not a monster fan too.

          • admin May 23, 2012, 2:42 PM

Hm… I gotta check them out then! The 2.0 ghosts are so much better, I never understood why the first version had such a big grin! Your friendly ghost, yeah… 😀

Jay, its all right as long as something more meaningful is added besides just saying “I’m the first to comment”. So sorry if that wasn’t clear. 😉

Very smart Admin! But this is awesome

  • Jacob May 23, 2012, 5:02 PM

I picked up the swamp creature today. Technically, it is a gift for my younger brother, and he has yet to arrive, so I have yet to see it opened, but it is my favorite just because LEGO has not really done it before, it in inexpensive, and the figures look great. My least favorite has to be the Vampyre hearse. Thanks to the graveyard set, all the figures are available some where else. The vehicle, though not bad for what it is, feels a little too weird looking opinion (the flaming head on a pre-1950’s vehicle?). Preliminary shots showed the motorcycle being sand green, but it has a maroon one that was already available in Pharaohs quest. Although I saw a review online which said it was not too bad, it is the one set of this line I don’t have any intention of buying.

    • admin May 23, 2012, 7:57 PM

Jacob, hm… that’s a shame about the motorcycle. I do have the maroon one released previously, and it is very nice, but it would have been even nicer if they give a different color in the Monster Fighters set. Yes, the Swamp Creature is cool and could be very useful in many MOCs. 🙂

Hmm, I’m not a big fan of monsters. They just creep me out to much. Don’t know why people like scary stuff. Ugh. 🙄

    • admin May 23, 2012, 8:04 PM

Taryn, I agree, I don’t like scary stuff either, but some people do. Like my brother loves horror movies. I don’t know why, he is an awesome guy otherwise and not weird at all. I guess he just likes to be scared. 😈

  • Konstantin May 23, 2012, 10:45 PM

I thought that there was going to be a zombine set and a haunted house set too.

    • admin May 24, 2012, 8:46 AM

Konstantin, yes, those are going to come out later. 😉

  • Ben May 24, 2012, 12:09 AM

I just bought the castle & the hearse and both sets are fantastic. I modified some things I didn’t like about the hearse, such as the engine block, gray / gold elements and now have a sleek, black vampyre hotrod. To contrast Jacobs review, I think the hearse is wonderful. It looks like an evil version of the Ghostbusters car and, with a little work, can look amazing. Mine consists of mostly black with a touch of white & metallic silver rather than gold or gray. The Vampyre castle is outstanding right out the box, although I’m sure I’ll change a few things.

Like most who have commented so far, I’m not a monster fan either – but this theme seems to have something special going for it. Far more interesting & creative than the current LOTR sets IMO. I’m not touching those until I see some serious Amazon discounts.

    • admin May 24, 2012, 8:51 AM

Ben, thanks for the review! If you would like to include a picture of your modified version of the hearse let me know. Would love to see it! 😉

You do make a good point with this theme being more interesting than LOTR. The minifigs in LOTR are really nice, but the sets themselves are pretty uninspired. They do provide useful parts though for MOC-ers. 🙂

      • Micho May 24, 2012, 5:27 PM

agree!!! I would love to see a pic the modifications on that hearse… and agree on the LOTR comment too =D

      • Ben May 25, 2012, 12:56 AM

I’ll do my best to get some decent pics to you in a day or so. Would love your input or suggestions 🙂

        • admin May 25, 2012, 8:45 AM

Ben, that sounds good! Can’t wait! 🙂

    • Jacob May 24, 2012, 3:34 PM

Glad you enjoy it. I really don’t think it is bad, but its really not my thing. I really just wanted the zombie from the finalized set, and the graveyard comes with him and two others. I agree though, some slight modifications do look like they could make it a bit better.

  • lego chronicler May 26, 2012, 7:38 AM

The swamp creature is definitely a winner, so are the heroes! I’m going to use the swamp thing to fight marines, and maybe zombies will come out soon too.

    • admin May 26, 2012, 8:44 AM

Marines vs. swamp-creatures would be awesome! Just make sure you give the swamp creatures some special weapons or powers to make the battle fair enough. 😉
Zombies are great too! Marines vs. zombies could make a really great story! 😀

Below are the pictures and updates from Ben he talked about above:

Here are some pics of the simple modifications I made to the new Vampyre Hearse. I really liked the kit overall, but didn’t care much for the gray and gold elements. The exhaust pipes connect using a headlight brick instead of the round pin brick it came with. The lanterns are black saber handles. And the rest is just whatever I happen to snap together. I show a couple of different possibilities for the roof & exhaust pipes but the possibilities are endless of course. I particularly like the Vampyre Throne on the roof. It adds an element of fun and looks good displayed. I originally left the sticker off – and it looks fierce that way – but after building the castle and seeing just how cool all the glow in the dark pieces are, I couldn’t help it. I’m in love with this theme – much more than I thought I would be. The train & lab are next on my must buy list – and I’ll have multiple zombie sets I’m sure.

The pics with Zombies are a mix of Citizen Brick heads (which are beautifully printed) and torso decals by Capt. 53p83c (which are free one his flickr account). I haven’t commited to exactly what my final batch of zombies will look like, so decals are the obvious route to test the waters. I made those before this theme came out, so I will most likely alter them to fit in. The odd colored zombie is from POTC. That head looks awesome on the CMF witch torso too.
