Oh my gosh! this looks so awesome! but I don’t now if I would spend 160$

  • Micho October 7, 2012, 12:56 PM

Oh yes!!! I so want this set, I would buy it for $100, not $150 though, so hopefully when it’s on sale. I really want to get into the Super Heroes collections since LEGO stopped putting out stuff for me. Thi set seems like the perfect starting point since it has all the DC minifigs I want with the exclusion of Wonder Woman and Catwoman… I hope the wifey surprises me =D LOL. One way or another… I WILL have this.

Now, I wonder wht the Marvel response will be to this… Avengers Mansion/Strak Tower Attack??? The Raft Breakout??? Baxter Building Batle??? Galactus Attacks??? Personally I would prefer Avengers Mansion Attack since there was only a very few heroes at the Raft when the Breakout happened and Marvel Heroes are much cooler than the villians where DCs villians are cooler than their Heroes… except for Bats and Flash (we need a Flash minifig)… so I would prefer more Marvel heroes minifigs in that set… Iron Man (with regualr size printed head), Ms Marvel, Spider Woman, Black Widow, The Sentry, Spidey, Wolverine, Giant Man, Wasp, and Cap.

Micho, yeah, it looks like LEGO has been putting out quite a bit of gorgeous sets for adult fans. The challenge is to be able to afford them! Hope the wifey helps you out! 😉

well I did give her an early anniversary gift on Thursday, it was a Coach purse and a Marc Jacobs perfume gift set for our anniversary which is tomorrow (I REALLY wanted to surprise her with the early date, and it worked LOL) so maybe she’ll still remember that in January =D

LOL! January is still far away, so you better be good! 😉
Also, there are so many other tempting LEGO sets that will be released in the meantime; like The Hobbit sets… yeah, being a LEGO fan required lotsa self-control! 🙄
          Oh, and happy anniversary! 😀

This is a really cool set, but in my opinion, it is just too much like the Lego Batman Arkham Asylum set.

  • Why dont they just kill the bad guys so they dont have to put up with capturing them every second?

    • Taryn (Ninja of Electronics) October 7, 2012, 9:23 PM

to continue the series probably. wouldnt be much fun if the ninjas killed garmadon and the serpentine. no more episodes. and the lego kid safe policy thing

  • Jacob October 7, 2012, 10:00 PM

Really quite impressed with this set. It REALLY looks better than the old version. Honestly surprised that they put so much effort into it. Altough the price is always an issue, I’d rather it be what it is now than to risk juniorizing any of it. Hope that the rest of the new sets look at least half this good.

Jacob, yeah, so much better than the original one! 😀

Thanks! I may include it here as well. I wish the designer would have shown more of the details though. It was a bit too generic for my taste. Jamie does a better job at showing the details. 😉

Those brick-built gargoyles on the roof are epic! As an MBA subscriber, I picked out the frog element for their heads right away. Clever design!
