Most of us barely finished collecting the LEGO Collectible Minifigs in Series 9, and Series 10 has already been spotted. Well, so far only in Hungary, where several LEGO fans were lucky enough to pick up some Series 10 minifigures early. 🙂
So far no report on finding one of the 5,000 golden minifigs that is randomly inserted into boxes around the world. It is still not clear if the golden minifigure is chrome gold, pearl gold, or metallic gold. Some sources say he is fully chromed, but since nobody had actually photographed one yet, doubts remain. Pictures of him appear more pearl gold or metallic gold. (Pearl gold is a molded color, whereas metallic gold is basically spray-paint – LEGO has been using both versions of gold in the past).

And this is a picture of the packing. As you can see it is deliciously gold to remind you there might be a golden minifigure inside. 🙄
Collectible Minifigures Series 10 should be available in a couple of months, but as you can see some markets have been receiving them early. If you can’t wait to start collecting yours, they are already showing up on eBay and Bricklink, so keep an eye out for them.

I’d like to have Mr Gold but I’m not going to hunt too much for him. OR pay crazy E-bay prices.
We’re focused on getting one of each of the 16 plus extras of them for building. If we run across a Mr. Gold, we’ll get him for sure, but we’re not going to go out of our way to find him and definitely will not pay after-market prices for him. But I have high hopes we’ll run across one since Will is 100% accurate at feeling them, we always pick out complete sets for at least 2 or 3 of our friends. So we’ll be going through a lot of boxes. 🙂
hey, if you buy alot of boxes you might get an army of one of the minifigures! i have an army of sumo wrestlers from series 3

I have had two dreams that I got mr. gold! so I will get him! 😀
My plan is to pick up an entire box from TRU when they have their BOGO 50% off specials, the minifigs come out to $2.39 each if you buy two, that’s about the only good deal you can get since Wal Mart only carries the series that run in the 4th quarter and discounts them after Xmas.
my WAL-MART doesn’t have minifigures! 🙁 but my TARGET does. (sadly we never go to TARGET)
Wal Mart only carries the last series of the year during Xmas, at least they have the last two years.
My country doesn’t have mini figure series on the whole.
Which TRU do you go to? Most of the TRUs in the Bay Area (California) limit your purchase of minifigures to around 6 minifigures per day per household which I think is really too few.
Is it just me or does the checklist look more yellow than gold? It also seems to be printed with a foil texture rather than the usual question marks. Anyway, Mr. Gold looks pretty neat but I’m not too crazy about him, for myself at least. Especially if he’s pearl, as if he were chrome gold the lightsaber & hilt would be new (I think?) or at least I don’t have any in chrome.
Yeah I’m not crazy about Mr. Gold either… maybe Goldmember form Austin Powers might like him… “I like goooooold!”
I think the bumble bee girl is cute, and the cell phone piece is awesome! I wish it didn’t come with such a strange minifigure…

I will be looking for all of them I do not like the Madusa minifig but I would like to have the whole season 10 including Mr.Gold if lots of other people don’t like him it should be easy for me to get him

Well I just got back from le Target and they had cleared out Series 8, but had series 9 and no one had picked through them… so I got 2 Forest Maidens, 2 Hollywood Starlets, 1 Waiter, and 1 Plumber, all at retail price but the two girlies are very rare so I’m super happy!!!!

Where are the photos of series 11? I would like to see them.. Series 10 is quite and interesting series with a lot of colorful character as usual,I intend to buy the whole series and then start the golden hunt… It would be so fantastic if he came with the golden/diamond staff too!!!! I have calculated the maybe statistics about Mr Gold. Lego sells their products in about 130 countries,true? So I have thought that 2000 will hit North America,2000 in Eurasia,500 in South America,200 in Australia and 300 in Africa. But it might just be randomly placed and 4000 may hit one continent or so. We’ll just have to wait and see,who is the finder.
Yea,I want the golden minifigure and his gold staff too! I really hoped that the golden minifigure would have been completely gold.

Robt, they move really fast. All of the ones that have been listed so far have been sold. Also, because they are not listed in the catalog yet, sellers have to list them as bulk lots or custom lots. All of the ones I have found so far was through the BL Forum; sellers announce they just uploaded a lot of Series 10 and they are gone within 5 minutes. I would suggest to wait until they are more readily available. Or at least until they are uploaded in the BL catalog so you can add them to your Wanted List and get notified when someone lists them. Otherwise you would have to just hang out on the Forum all day and hope someone posts them. 🙄
A brilliant series. That Medussa is just pure classicness 😀 Would love in future to see a Zeus with a thunderbolt or a Hercules with a club or Venus with her mirror (of course we’d need a cupid minifig to match that one) 😀 😉

a few days back me and my sis were sorting through the series 9 minifigures and we found like 4 starlets we didn’t get one though cause my sis already had one.

I’m sure its an April Fools joke,but someone in Hungary has found a 14ct Mr Gold with a ticket to the Lego Factory next year,and that only 5 of the 5000 golden minifigures will be 14ct with a ticket….. 1 down,4999 more to go!!!
