LEGO Architecture Studio set review

Today I would like to show you a just released very unique LEGO set in the LEGO Architecture series; the #21050 LEGO Architecture Studio. It goes in a completely different direction than previously released LEGO Architecture sets. Instead of display-sets of famous landmarks that you basically built once and then put up on a shelf somewhere, LEGO Architecture Studio caters to the very heart of architecture and design; free-building, free-flowing creativity. ๐Ÿ™‚

#21050 LEGO Architecture Studio

The #21050 LEGO Architecture Studio set is basically a big box containing 1210 LEGO elements for free-building; plates, bricks, slopes, tiles, and specialty pieces that could be both functional and decorative. Most of the elements are white, but there are also a few trans-clear elements that could be used as windows, doors, glass-walls, etc.

Besides the LEGO elements, the LEGO Architecture Studio set also includes a 272-page book. Yes, it is a big book! And no, it is not a regular instruction-book that you would expect with LEGO sets. It’s a book full ofย inspiration andย ideas to boost your creativity.

LEGO Architecture Studio Book LEGO Architecture Studio Book Details

The book basically features various architecture and design companies who share a concept used by professional architects and designers. After each chapter there is a section for hands-on exploration where LEGO bricks are used for exploring the concept discussed. Then, there is a workshop section with exercises to help you master the concept with the LEGO bricks included.

LEGO Architecture Studio Book Index

The LEGO Architecture Studio set is recommended for ages 16 and up, so it is perfect for budding architects and designers. However I can also see this book work great in a school-curriculum. Many architects and designers use LEGO to work out their concepts and feature their models. In fact, I got introduced to LEGO by my father, who is an architect, and he used LEGO both for his own models, and when he is teaching college classes.

LEGO Architecture Studio Review

The LEGO Architecture Studio set also includes two handy sorting-trays, and three sturdy sorting-boxes. I suspect that in the hands of creative architects the sorting-boxes could also get incorporated in the design. One thing I’m baffled about it that no brick-separator is included. With so many plates and bricks a brick-separator is a must! These days, when LEGO includes a brick-separator in even medium-sized sets, to not include one in such a large set that mainly targets students and professionals, is a major oversight. I hope LEGO will correct this mistake, as it does look very unprofessional in an otherwise very professional set. Beside, a splash of orange in a sea of white ๐Ÿ™„

Besides creating a whole new concept within the LEGO Architecture series, LEGO is doing something else new with this set. They have teamed up with Barnes & Noble for a four-day event. Barnes & Noble, the leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products, announced that 450 Barnes & Noble stores nationwide will host their first-ever LEGO Architecture Studio events and celebrations from July 25-28. Here is a excerpt from their press-release:

LEGO Architecture Studio Event

The LEGO Architecture Studio event will feature local architecture experts discussing and demonstrating the parameters and design process in architecture using LEGO bricks to educate and inspire the hands-on building that follows. Participants will have the opportunity to reference the LEGO 250 guide book, experiment and create original architectural designs with more than 1,200 monochromatic building pieces, and learn a few architectural concepts such as scale, mass and density, symmetry, modules and repetition, space and section and surface.

Additionally, the store will offer architecture fans the first look at a new LEGO Architecture product that can only be found for sale in Barnes & Noble and LEGO brand outlets from July 25-28.

โ€œThis event is perfect for anyone interested in visual design and the important and profound role design plays in our communities. Aspiring architects, design enthusiasts and LEGO fans will have a hands-on opportunity to explore concepts and discover new insights by constructing 3D models,โ€ said Kathleen Campisano, Vice President, Toys & Games, Barnes & Noble, Inc. โ€œBarnes & Noble is excited to partner with LEGO to continue the world-wide conversation and collaborative nature of architectural design through these engaging and fun events.โ€

The LEGO Architecture Studio event is free and open to the public. For further details, contact your local Barnes & Noble store, or visit the Barnes & Noble Store Locator to see what stores in your area will be offering the event.

My impression and thoughts on the LEGO Architecture Studio set is that it is a well thought out and executed concept that is a natural progression within the LEGO Architecture line. Giving fans of the LEGO Architecture series the means to explore architectural and design concepts, guided by professionals in a free-building environment. LEGO, architecture, and design naturally fit together. In fact, his is not the first time LEGO tried this direction. In the 1960s LEGO released a LEGO Architecture hobby series for free-building, and there was also the LEGO Modulex sets specifically made for architects with a more appropriate scale then regular LEGO bricks.

#21050 LEGO Architecture Studio Ideas

The LEGO Architecture Studio set is not for everyone. It is not a regular LEGO set that would appeal to most LEGO fans. And it is not like the LEGO Master Builder Academy program either. It has a very specific target audience in mind; teens and adults who are interested in architecture and design, and those who are already working in those fields and they like to use LEGO in their creative process. Having said that, even if you are not an architect or designer, but you are looking for lots of white parts, you might want to consider this set.

You can get the LEGO Architecture Studio set at LEGO stores as well as Barnes & Noble. Here is the link: BUY LEGO ARCHITECTURE STUDIO

My wife was an art major in college and loves modern architecture, collects books on the subject. She likes building Lego sets with my son and I but I think this set is something she would enjoy. The book is what makes it really appealing.

    • admin July 26, 2013, 11:13 AM

Yes, the book is excellent; written with architects and students or architecture and design in mind – yet it doesn’t get too techinical that a hobbyist wouldn’t understand. It is pretty much in line in both style and language with other architecture picture and inspiration books my Dad has (he is an architect). ๐Ÿ™‚

  • CVJ July 26, 2013, 11:17 AM

I emailed my wife a link to this and she wants it, so I guess I will be ordering it next week ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin July 26, 2013, 11:19 AM

Sounds good! Keep me posted on how she likes it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • pythin July 26, 2013, 12:10 PM

I’m at Yale now studying Architecture and I am very happy and lucky to be able to find some shops around New Haven that sell this set! Planning on buying it this week, along with the rest of the Architecture sets I need. This is certainly going to be my favorite so far!

    • admin July 26, 2013, 12:17 PM

Pythin, yes, I think with your background you will really enjoy this set. By far the best LEGO Architecture set in my opinion. They needed to release something like this; something creative, inspirational, educational – instead of just display sets. Some of the studies in the book are really interesting. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Gabriel July 26, 2013, 12:23 PM

Interesting that you called out MBA in the article. It seemed to me to be very much like MBA, just with a stricter theme and older target audience. I am definitely intrigued by this set. I’m not much of an architect, but I can see how the tips and insights in the book would take my micro building to a whole new level.

    • admin July 26, 2013, 12:33 PM

Gabriel, I specifically mentioned MBA, because I had a feeling that readers might think it is similar. It is only similar in the sense that it is a teaching/learning set. Other than that MBA focuses on teaching LEGO building techniques; how to use LEGO elements to their full capacity. The models themselves are in many ways secondary.

In the Architecture Studio set the focus is the other way around; here you are learning design and architecture concepts, and LEGO is simply a medium. Similar the way designers and architects use paper, clay, foam, and other materials to get a sense of structure, design and space. It was actually really smart to use only white bricks. Makes the models look very clean and professional, and quite similar to paper maquettes.

And yes, this is a PERFECT set for microbuilding! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Greg Wurz July 26, 2013, 1:24 PM

The book looks awesome, but $150.00 for 1200 white bricks? I’ll pass. I understand the concept and what they are trying to do, but it just doesn’t appeal to me.

    • Maxx July 26, 2013, 5:27 PM

I thought the same at first, but I think it should be stated different.
$30 to $40 for the book, the rest for the bricks.
The book is the real treasure of this set.

I would not mind getting this set (if only for the book)
Btw, I also have an architectual background and am currently designing gardens(c:

      • admin July 26, 2013, 5:35 PM

Maxx, I was wondering what you thought of this set, as you work in design! ๐Ÿ˜€

        • Maxx July 26, 2013, 5:42 PM

I had seen it come by in the last days, but had not read any review on it untill yours(c:
Like I said, the book really sells the set to me, the rest are just white parts.

About the seperator, I would have loved to see a white one in there.
Plus, a recent LEGO set that includes 24 twobyfour bricks, what’s not to like!!!

          • admin July 26, 2013, 8:46 PM

Maxx, yeah, someone else also mentioned they would have loved a white brick-separator with this! Personally I would have preferred another color just because of the sea of white, but it would certainly be unique! But the point is whatever color, there should have been one included. You don’t want all of these professionals using their teeth! :rool:

      • Greg Wurz July 26, 2013, 6:21 PM

I agree, I’m just not a huge fan of monochrome building. At least not to the point where I would want to use it over and over again, so the replay value is pretty low. I am interested in the book though and would not mind picking one up on bricklink or somewhere.

I do agree that it has some good educational applications.

  • Sharon July 27, 2013, 7:10 AM

I went to Barnes & Noble yesterday and played with the kit. It was an interesting experience as there were only 4 of us, 5 including the employee who set up the demo. A nine year old boy and his sister built symmetrical buildings that looked nice and functional. The teenager talked about how he could build anything if he had this set but didn’t do much but talk.
I am an architect though I don’t work because I have kids. I would have loved this set when I was at school. There are lots of lessons in the book about design principals such as building mass and density. A lot of those things can be explored with computers but seeing things and moving things around by hand is quicker and more valuable.
I am not sure many architecture student could afford something this expensive. I would love to see a basic set with add-ons.
I did bring home a set.

    • admin July 27, 2013, 10:03 AM

Sharon, thanks for sharing that! I also would have loved to go to the B&N event, but I live in a small town and mine didn’t run it. Yes, computer programs are there to aid architects in the creative process, but there is still nothing like a hands-on 3D model. At least that’s what my Dad says. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wonder how well the B&N event will be attended. I’m pretty sure at some places it will be just a few kids, but how about architecture centers like Chicago? Would love to see that!

Keep me posted on how you like the set as you explore the lessons. It would be interesting to see how well this set performs on the long term. I think if marketed well it could become a staple in the architecture/design field, like Mindstorms is for robotics.

  • legodude19 July 27, 2013, 11:06 AM

I think I’m gonna get this. My dad seems ready to buy it for my Birthday since I’m interested in this kinda stuff possibly for a career. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin July 27, 2013, 12:59 PM

Nice! Let us know how you like it! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Maxx August 4, 2013, 4:49 AM

Just for that you should get it, see how it helped Admin and Sharon and I also give a lot of credit to LEGO in helping me when I was younger (studied to become an architect, now design and build gardens, can’t wait for LEGO to do a garden architecture set(c:)
Tell your dad it’s the best gift he could get you ever!

      • admin August 4, 2013, 9:40 AM

A garden architecture set would be really sweet! One of my sisters is a garden architect too. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Verai July 27, 2013, 2:14 PM

It bugs me a bit that BIG (Bjarkke Ingels Group) isn’t in the book, when they’re the firm that is making the LEGO House in Billund, and has worked with LEGO before in the past. They’re even located IN Denmark! Other than that, looks like a great set for future or current designers.

    • admin July 27, 2013, 7:41 PM

Verai, that’s a good question; how did LEGO choose the firms they decided to feature. No idea on that.

      • The New Elementary July 29, 2013, 9:00 AM

I’d wager that internal TLG staff did not research/write this book nor any of the Architecture theme booklets, given they’re a toy company. TLG don’t design the Architecture sets either – this is managed and often executed by Adam Reed Tucker – so I expect he handled (or at least managed production of) this book too.

        • admin July 29, 2013, 9:12 AM

Yes, good point. Although Adam Reed Tucker is not mentioned as a contributor to this book, there are plenty of others who were involved. According to the front cover of the book here is a list of who was involved:

          Editor: Christopher Turner
          Creative Director: Paal Smith-Meyer
Consulting Concept Editors: KRADS architects, Denmark/Island
Product Development Team: Daiva S. Naldal, Rok Z. Kobe
          Graphic Design: Marlene Hansen
          Project Management: Karen Frost Sorensen

Plus, all the architecture and design firms featured in the book are also listed as contributing content partners.

  • Strider August 1, 2013, 1:48 PM

Hmm, I will think about this. I really like designing buildings, and I made have designed a few microscale models, but I do not want to be an architect, I just like using Legos to design. It seems like the book, (which I am guessing is the reason for the extra cost,) has a lot of real life stuff meant for real life architect wannabes, so that would be the only down side as I would rather have something along the lines of the Lego Ideas Book. Also, I think Lego should have made a base model, (even if it wasn’t huge,) so buyers aren’t so indimated by dumping all the bricks out and not knowing what to do first. I think if Lego had given instructions for even a simple build, it would be easier for people to get their creative juices flowing and maybye expand on it or use the techniques to make their own. I understand the idea is not to just follow instructions but to make your own things, though I don’t think a little thing to help you get comfortable with it would hurt. I will consider buying this, but it is not a must at the moment.

    • admin August 1, 2013, 2:24 PM

Strider, this set is not for everyone. It targets a very specific niche of students or architecture and design. I think you would be happier with the LEGO Modular Buildings and other larger LEGO Creator sets, or even some of the LEGO MBA sets.

The book teaches architecture and design concepts thru LEGO. Even if you aren’t planning to become an architect, but you do like to build maquettes of buildings, cities, etc., you would like it. But otherwise the standard LEGO sets would most likely suit you better. Just my thoughts. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Strider August 2, 2013, 5:20 PM

Okay thanks. Yeah, for that price there is a lot of different stuff I could get that would be better.

        • admin August 2, 2013, 5:40 PM

You are welcome. LEGO has been coming out with a lot of awesome stuff, but still, some sets are better then others for individual tastes and styles. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Strider August 1, 2013, 1:59 PM

Also Admin, on youtube there is a review for this set by freakyfilms1. I don’t follow his channel but I watched the review, and the kid is just saying exactly what your post says. Word for word.

    • admin August 1, 2013, 2:20 PM

LOL! That’s really funny! Poor kid can hardly keep up with my big words. Maybe he shouldn’t pretend to have thought it all up.

  • a1skaterboy August 12, 2013, 12:07 PM

the book is available for free as a pdf download on the lego support site.

    • admin August 12, 2013, 12:55 PM

Yes, thanks for sharing that. It is likely a mistake on LEGO’s part, like it was with the MBA instructions, and will probably be taken down soon. For those of you who are planning to download it, please note that it is a very large file. About half a GB.

  • Alex August 14, 2013, 6:19 PM

Anyone able to share the PDF, it’s no longer there? Dropbox, web, etc?

    • admin August 14, 2013, 7:08 PM

Alex, I do have it, but it is a huge file. Almost half a gigabyte. If you have a way I can share it, I’m happy to do so. I can’t upload it here as it is too big for my server to handle.

  • James Briano August 14, 2013, 6:51 PM

I need the pdf as well. Anyone?

    • admin August 14, 2013, 7:16 PM

James, as I mentioned to Alex, I do have the PDF, but it is huge. I can’t upload it here as it would be a strain on the server, but if you guys have a way I can share it I’m happy to do so. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • iep August 17, 2013, 3:51 PM

Oh me too, me too! As a European I can’t buy the set :[

You’ll love http://www.wetransfer.com for uploading things like this.
This would also be good as a torrent.

        Thanks in advance!

Hi there, was wondering if there was any luck in uploading this. I have been looking for the pdf as well.

            • admin August 22, 2013, 9:23 PM

Yes, it is available through wetransfer at this link:
One person already downloaded it and it worked fine. Please note that the file is very large, so expect that it will take a few minutes to download. It took me 7 minutes to upload it.

Please note that wetransfer will keep the file until the 28th of August. At that point it will be deleted, but if anybody still needs it of course I can re-apload it. Just ask. ๐Ÿ˜‰

A sincere thanks for providing the file again and impressed with the wetransfer service.

Guide looks great and now tempted to get a set sent over to England.

                    • admin September 29, 2013, 6:09 PM

Jim, you are very welcome. Yes, I also like that file-transfer service. It has been working out well for both uploading and downloading. I hope you are able to get the set itself, but if not, the parts are all common and you should be able to get them from Pick-A-Brick or BrickLink. Although someone mentioned it would end up being more expensive than just buying the set. But then in your case shipping the set from the USA is going to be expensive. Best would be if someone can take it in their luggage for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

                    • admin January 27, 2014, 2:25 PM

Eric, you are welcome! I’m surprized LEGO haven’t restocked this set. When it first came out it was selling like hotcakes! Enjoy the instruction book! It is mainly talking about concept and not specific instructions with specific pieces, so you should have no problem using your own LEGO collection and get the full value of the lessons. Although having that big mountain of white parts that comes with the set is not a bad option either. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Mark August 20, 2013, 5:33 AM

    Hi there,
Just taken delivery of my new Architetcure Studio set………….first reaction is one of huge disappointment over the colour – the bricks are nothing like the brilliant white of the packaging but rather more creamy/off off white. Has nobody else noticed this? All the pictures in the accompanying book and indeed all the images on the packaging depict brilliant white bricks, but I was met by a sea of biegey/creamy/off white.

    • admin August 20, 2013, 10:07 AM

Mark, LEGO white does have a slightly creamy hue. It is standard. That’s why propably nobody mentioned it. At least I haven’t even thought about it when I wrote the review. I have been building with LEGO all my life, so I’m used to it.

LEGO white is not the same as the whiteness of white paper or snow. The book does depict actual LEGO models, but I guess matching the exact color on a photo is difficult. Actually, now that I look at my set, even the box itself is not pure white – it does have a bit of LEGO-ish creaminess, so do the pictures on the box and in the book.

You make a valid point though; this set is marketed not just to regular LEGO fans. There could be people (architects, designers, students) who buy this set for educational purposes who never played with LEGO before, and they can be put off by the fact that LEGO’s white is not paper-white or snow-white.

If LEGO continues to produce sets like this in the future, I will make sure to keep in mind to address the “outside” audience as well in my review – those who are not familiar with LEGO already. It is difficult, as I can’t think the way they do, but I will try. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        Hi
I have the same experience. If the color of whole set is in the same type of white color, it is totally fine. I also feel disappointed as they are in different white ( creamy and reddish, grayish). It is impossible to build a ‘white’ model as the picture on the box.
I have a set of Lego for nearly twenty years. The white blocks are no longer in the same white. In the case of the brand new Lego ‘white’ collection, it is not acceptable to have this huge color difference. If LEGO have a vision to open a new collection, they have to have a better quality control policy.
By the way, the guide book is really amazing.

        • admin November 4, 2013, 9:13 AM

Teresa, I strongly recommend that you contact LEGO’s customer service with the quality issues you experienced. They take those very seriously and have already made many changes responding to customer complaints. If we don’t tell them that something is wrong, they won’t know. They have factories in several locations, and sets are assembled from parts coming from different factories. It is very likely that one of the factories have their white color calibrated wrong. You can also request replacements for the parts that you feel are completely off.

    Hi
I was wondering if I can have a lego architecture studio pdf. I have been looking for the pdf as well.

    Thank yo so much!

    • admin October 17, 2013, 2:55 PM

Okay, let me see if I can upload it today. It takes a little while…

  • Maxx October 20, 2013, 2:13 PM

Having had the set in my house for some time now, I thought it time to share our findings.
The box says 16 and up, but my 5,9 and 10 year old have been building like there is no tomorrow.
I was very pleased with their designs and no mention of the whites only.
    Btw, is this set politically correct? (C;
Building was fun, just build buildings and they did in varying degrees.

I was very surprised by my oldest who build a beautifull 2 floor house.

The middle one build a room with small people, also very nice.

The youngest build a large flat area with swimming pool etc and added my house to it proclaiming it picture worthy(c:

Overal, love the whites only, no destractions about colors.
The number of different bricks is okay (more is always better).
For the price, they could have thrown in more bricks.
The set does what it needs to do.

All in all, a great set, love the book, but a bit pricey…

    • admin October 20, 2013, 8:07 PM

Maxx, thanks for sharing! I’m glad your kids like the set! Yeah, there is something really appealing with using only one color! It is all about form and shape without the distraction of color. So you mentioned your kids enjoying the set, what about you? Did you build anything? ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Maxx October 21, 2013, 3:21 PM

Yes, of course, but as written above, my youngest took it to use with his build(c:

I made a few micro builds with white trees and helped the kids a bit.
Now to find time to build on my own or with my wife.
And read the book, there are so many nice things in there.

One thing I missed when I just started was a (white) baseplate to build on.
Also, a brick seperator would be handy.

Tip: don’t put two transparent 1×2 plates on each other, they are very hard to take apart!!!

        • admin October 21, 2013, 3:31 PM

Oh, that’s nice! (I mean your snowy trees.) Your guys could probably even build a whole winter scene with the set! ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, the book is actually really interesting, once you get into it. And I have no idea why the didn’t include a brick-separator! It is really a must with all those plates! I think it was a major oversight. I have plenty of brick-separators, but since the set is targeting not just LEGO fans but those outside of the hobby, it should really have been included.

Anyhow, have fund with all those white parts! BTW, I saw your brick-built wall on BrickLink with the different colored bricks – it is beatutiful! You are fortunate to be building with bricks both on and off the job! ๐Ÿ˜‰

            Thanks (c:

  • Europe October 29, 2013, 10:48 AM

    Hi,

Really sad the Studio set is not available in Europe… I hope the guys at Lego are working on the translation of the book to all languages right now and it is available for the Christmas season!! Looking forward to that.

In the meantime I’d love to see the PDF as well. The wetransfer solution is always temporary… wouldn’t you like to upload it on some permanent platform like dropbox or is the 0.5 GB size not allowing it?

BTW, I am considering to buy the set for my 7-years-old son, but of course he will get quite some help from me ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe we could start by creating a model of our own flat…

    Thanks

    • admin October 29, 2013, 11:43 AM

Europe, I could upload the file to our server but it is so big I don’t want to take up so much space. I’m really just doing this as a favor to the community, but if someone wants to upload it to a more permanent home and give us a link that works fine with me.

I believe both you and your son would enjoy the set. One of our contributors, Maxx, uses it with his 3 children, the youngest being 5-years-old without any help from an adult. And of course it is also extremely useful for adults; designers, architects, etc. There is just something very inspiring about digging your hands in a pile of LEGO bricks!

BTW, I’m not sure if you have read this, but I recommend that you check out the 30-day challenge with this set one of our readers is doing: http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/10/lego-architecture-studio-30-day-challenge/

  • Dennis van Akkeren January 7, 2014, 7:19 AM

Does anyone know if the set’s available in the Netherlands?
And might it be possible to transfer the pdf-file with wetransfer ones more?

    Thanks in advance!

    • admin January 7, 2014, 11:20 AM

Dennis, unfortunately at this point we don’t know. This was some kind of special experiment by LEGO,and I guess they will decide based on their result if they will continue marketing this set. It is also sold out in the USA.

As far as the PDF file, I can upload it again, but I can’t do it right now as I’m not at my main computer. If you don’t get an email from me in this regard in the next couple of days, don’t hesitate to comment/email me again. I’m responding to hundreds of comments a day and things can fall thru the cracks.

  • Sab January 9, 2014, 5:57 AM

Great writeup, yeah it would be great to have a look at the PDF if possible too before committing to buying. Can you re-upload?

    Kind regards

  • Natalia January 18, 2014, 3:10 PM

    Hi admin!
I also would be grateful if you could give link for that PDF again.
    Thank you in advance!
    Natalia

    • admin January 19, 2014, 7:43 PM

Natalia, I’m out of town right now, but I can look into it again when I get back home tomorrow.

  • Jesse February 4, 2014, 6:48 PM

    Hi,

Any ideas if lego will restoke this set???

    • admin February 4, 2014, 9:26 PM

Jesse, no word from LEGO about this, but I will ask my contact at LEGO. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from him. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • admin February 7, 2014, 12:10 PM

Jesse, I heard back from my contact at LEGO. He said the following: “The set is still active and should be replenished shortly. Currently it is only available in North America.”

  • Yan February 18, 2014, 5:41 PM

You can actually grab the instruction book direct from Lego here

    http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6062928.pdf

The set seems to be selling for an insanely high price, wondering if it’s worth just buying the pieces bulk and going from there instead.

    • admin February 18, 2014, 9:09 PM

Oh, finally! Thanks, Yan, for mentioning that! ๐Ÿ™‚

And as far as your question, the book is about concepts, so you can pretty much use any LEGO elements. They don’t have to be the same as in this set, nor do they have to be all white. So yeah, you can use your own LEGO collection. I would suggest that you go through a couple lessons in the book so you get an idea on how it works before buying anything. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Budakmalas June 8, 2014, 7:19 PM

    Hi.

I’m just wondering whether you can upload the PDF again. Have been searching everywhere for it but to no avail. Thank you in advance.

    • admin June 8, 2014, 7:48 PM

I can try to do it this upcoming week. It takes a while for it to upload. Will keep you posted. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Alex July 29, 2014, 11:21 AM

Hi admin, thanks a lot for making this great review for the Lego Architecture studio set. I would like to buy it but I think it is a bit expensive, especially here in England (ยฃ150). I have a collection of different Legos and would like to have the PDF file and use my Legos for the making of buildings. Can you please upload the book file, please, I have been looking for it a lot?
Thank you in advance, I am a teenager who dreams of being an architect. ๐Ÿ˜€

    • admin July 29, 2014, 3:18 PM

Alex, I have uploaded the file again. Here is the link: . It is available until August 5th. Enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Alex July 30, 2014, 9:37 AM

Amazing admin! Thank you very much I would look it and decide if I am going to buy the set or maybe buy the pieces in the lego pick a brick website. ๐Ÿ™‚

        • admin July 30, 2014, 10:22 AM

Alex, have fun, and you are welcome to come back and share what you learned. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Shaiel August 18, 2014, 11:51 AM

Admin – it looks like it’s been some time since this request. I would be very appreciative if you could re-upload it through WeTransfer. Each of the above links says it’s no longer available (probably since the last request was in January 2014). I would also be happy to host it so you can stop putting up with the extensive requests. . .

  • Shaiel August 18, 2014, 11:52 AM

Admin, I would, like almost everyone else in this thread, be very appreciative if you could upload it again. I can’t find it anywhere and all the above links say ‘no longer available.’

I would also be happy to host it for you, so you can just give people a dropbox link from this point forward, if you like.

    Best. Thanks in advance.

    • admin August 18, 2014, 12:09 PM

Okay, we could do that. I have been actually getting quite a few requests via email, but yeah, it is always a hassle to upload it, and I don’t want to upload it to my server as the file is so big. So yeah, if you don’t mind hosting please do so. I’m uploading to WeTransfer right now, so it should be ready in a little while. I added your email address as the recipient and I will also upload the link here once it is ready. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi Shaiel,

Were you able to put it into a dropbox link? I just missed the window for download and Iโ€™d love to look through the book. I have to wait for my next paycheck to purchase the set. Iโ€™m so excited to get started with these blocks.

      Thanks!
