LEGO supercar charity-auction ends soon!

Today I would like to bring to your attention a charity-auction run by LEGO fan Paul Boratko. Paul is well known in the LEGO fan community due to his amazingly detailed LEGO supercars. His LEGO models have been featured in magazines, at museums and LEGO shows, andย on many websites. You can check out his models at his website CrowKillers.com, his LEGO projects on CUUSOO, and his eBay auctions where he sells some of his best LEGO models as well as instructions. ๐Ÿ™‚

LEGO Supercar Charity Auction

Paul is currently auctioning off one of his LEGO supercars, with all proceeds going to Brayden Yorchak, a 6-year-old child who was diagnosed with a brain tumor called Ependyoma on August 2nd, 2013. He underwent surgery on August 4th to remove the growth, however Brayden still needs to undergo weeks of radiation treatment to ensure the best possible outcome. All of the money raised through the auction is going to help Brayden and his family during this difficult time.

Just a minor point – something can’t be ‘extremely unique’. It’s either unique or it’s not.

Grammar nazism aside – what a build! A great prize, and a touching cause.

David, sometimes there is just no way to describe the awesomeness of LEGO MOCs. How about uniquest? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yep, I know! I have a post ready about them for tomorrow so we can discuss. ๐Ÿ˜‰

BTW, I was working on putting on your contributor’s page, but there is no picture included. I usually recommend adding at least one picture of yourself, or your avatar or something. Would you email me one?

is it ok if i write it again? not meaning to be annoying, i have read others pages and the size compared is very big

Benny, if you want to do that that is fine with me, but please let me know right away what you decide as I was planning to finish your current version tonight. I don’t want to work on putting it up if you want to change it right away. As far as the pages of others, do not worry about that. Be an individual, be unique, share what you want in the format you want. There is nothing wrong with short and sweet. However I strongly believe that a picture of either yourself or your avatar would help your page to look more personal and friendly. The whole idea of the contributor page is that people have a chance to get to know you better. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Is benny going to write about the ninjago sets? If not I will if you’d like. I mean the ones that have been just posted

I just checked out the rest of the Ninjago sets. Thanks for the heads-up Benny. Not sure how I feel about Pixel, though. She looks kind of weird. Anyway, Paul has some serious talent. Oh, and I may be going to a LEGO store on Saturday! ๐Ÿ˜€

Helped spread the word using my social media prowess. Hopefully it’ll get more people to donate to the cause.
