LEGO Christmas stocking-stuffers ideas

I don’t know how it is in your family, but in mine the kids (and even adults) have almost always been most excited about stocking-stuffers. Yeah, there is the big stuff we asked Santa for, but what we are really looking forward to is the giant sock full of little treasures and surprises. Even though these are probably the least expensive items on your Christmas shopping list, they may be the most appreciated, talked about and played with. 🙂

LEGO Christmas Stocking Stuffers

Of course there are chocolates and small trinkets to add as stocking-stuffers, but if you have LEGO fans in your family, don’t forget that there are also small LEGO sets you can surprise them with. Today I will show you a list of LEGO sets you can use as fun little gifts.

LEGO COLLECTIBLE MINIFIGURES: These are small “blind-bags” (meaning you don’t know what’s inside until you open the bag) with a LEGO minifigure and some accessories. They are highly collectible and very popular with LEGO fans, and only costs $3. Unfortunately LEGO retailers and toy-shops tend to run out of them quite fast. Two places where you should always be able find them in stock are official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.

Shop for LEGO Minifigures

LEGO POLYBAGS: These are small LEGO sets in a baggie and they come in a huge variety; holiday and seasonal themed, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Lord of the Rings, LEGO Friends, and lots more. Unfortunately their availability is limited. The Online LEGO Shop usually just carries the seasonal and promotional ones, but you can find a great variety of them at official LEGO stores. Toys’R’Us also tend to have at least a few different polybags at a time; you should be able to find them at the check-out counter, at the seasonal section, or where the LEGO sets are – in either boxes or hanging on hooks. They usually cost around $5.

LEGO KEY-CHAINS & MAGNETS: These are inexpensive but functional little LEGO items any LEGO fan would like! The parts are glued together so they won’t fall apart while doing their job of holding keys or keeping notes stuck on the refrigerator. You can get them at LEGO stores, some LEGO retailers and at the Online LEGO Shop for around $5.

LEGO Holiday Stocking Stuffers

SMALL LEGO SETS: These are somewhat larger sets in boxes, but still small enough to pass as small gifts or stocking-stuffers. You can find them in pretty much every LEGO theme; LEGO City, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Lord of the Rings, LEGO Super Heroes, etc. LEGO Creator and LEGO Friends have an especially sweet variety. These sets should be around the $10-15 range. You can also check out the Sales & Deals section at the Online LEGO Shop for some bargains.

LEGO Christmas Ideas

LEGO CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS: These are small ornaments you can hang on your Christmas tree! They are usually clear globes with some LEGO bricks or a tiny LEGO set. They are really fun if you have kids in the family! Just don’t let them strip the tree of the LEGO ornaments too early! 🙄

MAKE YOUR OWN LEGO GIFTS: If you are a LEGO fan yourself you can put together your own LEGO gifts too! Maybe build a Christmas tree ornament (see links at the end of this post for ideas), put together a minifigure in the likeness of the recipient, or build a small LEGO sets based on the things they like. You can even just bundle together some loose LEGO elements you have lying around. Remember that it is easy to please LEGO fans; they will appreciate any LEGO!

It’s funny, since my family doesn’t do stocking-stuffing, because ours are usually just for decoration. But one year I noticed my grandma and grandpa didn’t give us the usual money that they give in little envelopes. Now this year when we were setting up Christmas decorations, we found a little envelope filled with money addressed to my brother. I wondered if there was one for me, so I figured I’d look in the less obvious places. Sure enough, the envelope was sitting right there in the stocking.

I just got back from new Ninjago city so I can celebrate Christmas with my dad. Don’t tell Cole, but, I am getting him a cook book. I am going to give Jay an invention kit, Nya a jumbo role of blueprint paper, Kai a Fist to face 6(one of his favorite fighting video games only the new one), and for Lloyd, Misako, Garmadon, and Sensei Wu will get a ticket to the Ninjago beach.

I can’t wait to see how they will like my gifts. Oh, I almost forgot, I’m going to get my dad(Dr. J, or Dr. Jullien if you don’t know him) a snow globe with the picture of me and my falcon next to him inside it. How cool is that? Comment below if you like these gifts or tell me how you think the others will respond, or you can give me more ideas for presents to give to them.
