1st commente! I hope its Metal Beard’s Sea Cow coming out exclusively.
But why are the Mixels are on the March Calendar when they come out in February?

    • admin February 10, 2014, 11:23 AM

Release dates are not exactly set in stone. The official release is in March, but the Online LEGO Store have it listed as available from mid-February. My guess is that March is when they become widely available and when the TV show will start.

  • Fikko3107 February 10, 2014, 10:33 AM

2 Questions, and they’re big ones:
    1. Will the Martian Manhunter promotion run in say, Germany?
2.Will the Mixels come out in EARLY March or LATE March?

    • admin February 10, 2014, 11:28 AM

Fikko, I’m not sure about how widely available the Martian Manhunter will be. Sometimes different countries run different promotions so it is hard to tell at this point what they will do in Germany. The Mixels should be available early March, but again, different markets have different schedules. Just like we still haven’t gotten the January Star Wars sets. At the Online LEGO Shop in the USA the Mixels will be available February 17th.

  • Micho February 10, 2014, 10:53 AM

I would love the Sea Cow for my anniversary this year

  • stank2k February 10, 2014, 11:21 AM

It’s not a rumor and there’s no reason to hope. MetalBeards Sea Cow will be released on the 17th for LEGO VIP members.

  • LK901 February 10, 2014, 11:36 AM

Funny…… The Ewar polybag came out last year, no?

  • Håkan February 10, 2014, 11:47 AM

I got the Piece of Resistance polybag as a promotion bonus at the Lego store in Copenhagen. Pretty good parts pack, except for that useless Piece of Resistance brick… 😉

    • Bohrok Tru February 10, 2014, 2:53 PM

its not useless!!!!!! u can liek make mini stuff with it, right? doesnt it have a hole on the side?

      • Håkan February 10, 2014, 3:01 PM

Just kidding with you! Considering how wary TLG is of creating new brick molds that are “basic System”, not related to minifigs or animal parts, I find this part rather puzzling, though.

Decent poly, although I wouldn’t add a lot to a buy just to get it. This time I was only 10 DKK away from it, anyway, so I decided to buy a collectable minifig. Got Scribble Face-Bad Cop, which I found a bit underwhelming, even if the Scribble-Face and the smartphone is a bit cute.

        • Håkan February 11, 2014, 6:17 AM

But I still have trouble understanding the production of this part, considering all the restrictions on creating new molds that appeared since the 2000 revamp. A brick one piece wide, six studs high, I could understand. A brick one piece wide, three studs high with a hole on the side, I could understand. But this piece is rather puzzling.

          • admin February 11, 2014, 10:00 AM

I would look at this part more as a minifigure accessory essential to charate the character rather then a new building element. When it comes to building elements LEGO certainly likes to keep them within a tight system. When it comes to minifigure accessories LEGO seems to have a lot more leeway; so many of them are created to just one character. This is especially true for movie tie-ins. So although I’m sure that LEGO fans will play with this part and see how it can be used in different ways, it is essentially meant to be the cap of a Krazy Glue bottle and a minifigure accessory – even if it looks like just a crazy brick. 😉

      • ninja of stealth February 11, 2014, 12:18 PM

yes, it has a funny looking hole on the side. its kind of annoying because it doesn’t stay on your minifig very well.

        • Håkan February 11, 2014, 4:58 PM

A little too ironic, and yeah, I really do think…

  • YTjedi February 10, 2014, 11:57 AM

I noticed in your article that your anticipating MetalBeard’s Sea Cow as the exclusive release in both February and March. One of those two is supposed to be Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP isn’t it?

    • admin February 10, 2014, 12:25 PM

The February date is the early release to VIP members. The March date is the same set released to the public. 😉

  • Steph February 10, 2014, 12:54 PM

Soo does that mean no double VIP points in March? I’ve been waiting for that…

    • admin February 10, 2014, 2:15 PM

Steph, gosh, I haven’t seen you around forever! Nice to have you over! I haven’t heard anything about double VIP points in March, and it is not listed on the calendar, so looks like it won’t be happening.

      • Steph February 11, 2014, 10:18 AM

I’ve been around– just not a blog commenter, I guess. 🙂

        • admin February 11, 2014, 10:42 AM

I see… and that’s perfectly all-right. There is actually something called the 90-9-1 rule in the blogging world; 90% of the people are readers who never comment, 9% comment and contribute from time to time, and it is 1% of readers who make up all conversations. 🙂

Readers commenting does help me tremendously though. It gives me an idea of what people are interested in, what they need help with, what they would like to know more about. I’m actually a LEGO Ambassador and have access to people and resources that can help out out LEGO fans tremendously, but unless I’m requested I can only go on my own ideas of what to share. 😉

  • Chris of Yoda Archives February 10, 2014, 1:02 PM

I’ll be holding off on my purchases till March for Martian Manhunter minifig.

  • Bohrok Tru February 10, 2014, 2:56 PM

GOOD GOSH!!!!! I ONLY NEED JOHN_JOHNZ AND HAWKGIRL TO COMPLETE THE JUSTICE-LEAGUE!!!!! soz for all caps, I’m very happy.

anywayz Admin, you think that JJ will become avalible with a set? cuz the 75$ or more seemz a bit steep 0.0

    • Håkan February 10, 2014, 3:05 PM

You could check out Bricklink for a while after the promotion has been running. Might be cheaper, if you wouldn’t be buying a larger set, anyway…

    • admin February 10, 2014, 3:25 PM

I have my doubts. So far it seems that the exclusives like this do remain exclusive. Just think of the Hulk minifig that was given out in 2012, or Iron Patriot in 2013. They have not appeared in any set. Of course that doesn’t mean they can’t, but then you may be waiting for a very long time and it may never happen. You could try to get him on the secondary market, but you should do it as soon as he becomes available when a lot of people will dump him online to make a quick buck. The longer you wait the more expensive he will become. You could also consider buying some sets to get the minifig, and selling them on the secondary market, while keeping the minifig. LEGO is a very liquid asset. 😉

      • Håkan February 10, 2014, 3:39 PM

Then, on the other hand, my impression is that the Justice League membership has been pretty fluid, anyway, depending on time period and depiction in various media, so you could feel free to select only the roster you see fit, anyway…

        • Håkan February 10, 2014, 3:45 PM

On a related note, I wondered why you included Hawkgirl who seems to have been a rather minor member in the comics, but apparently she has a bigger role in the two animated series…

          • Bohrok Tru February 10, 2014, 7:23 PM

I added Hawkgirl cuz the classic Justice League had (ahem) Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and John Johnz. at least on all my comic books. =)

  • BLProductions February 10, 2014, 5:43 PM

OK, I have a question. Explanation: So I go on Lego.com to play games, such as, Spinjitzu Spinball. But in the New Ninjago website, I need a Unity Web Player to play all the games, which is really annoying.
So, question: What is a unity web player? Should I install it? 😕

    • admin February 10, 2014, 5:49 PM

Hm… maybe one of of our gamers can answer this better, but it is a safe app – just make sure you download it directly from the official website: https://unity3d.com/webplayer

      • BLProductions February 10, 2014, 7:19 PM

        Thanks. Do you have it?

        • admin February 10, 2014, 9:01 PM

I think I do but I’m not sure. Tell me which game requires it and I can check it out if it plays for me. If it does I must have it already.

          • BLProductions February 11, 2014, 8:23 AM

You can pretty much go to the Ninjago website and go to the games section, because they all need them. Rebooted, The Final Battle, and Spinjitzu Spinball.

            • admin February 11, 2014, 10:11 AM

Okay, so I just checked, and for me all the games work and they are loaded by Unity Web Player (it shows their logo as the games load). So I obviously have the player already. My laptop is quite new, just bought is a few months ago, so it was probably already pre-installed as I don’t remember downloading it. Anyhow, the point is, like Chi-bacca said, it is totally safe. 😉

            • BLProductions February 11, 2014, 6:35 PM

NOOO!!!!! Spinjitzu Spinball is no longer on Lego Games! NOOOOOOOOOO!!! 😡 🙁 😮

    • Chi-bacca February 11, 2014, 2:41 AM

unity web player to put it simply is an add-on that allows you to view/play in 3d worlds/games created only in your browser (not like minecraft which requires a download to your computer to play) it is perfectly safe to download and more of the LEGO websites games are going to be using this (the first I think was hero factory breakout-good game btw) so yes you should install it if your going to play games that are in a 3d environment from your browser. Hopefully not confusing 😀

      • BLProductions February 11, 2014, 8:25 AM

Thanks! I’ll try to install it later this week. 😉

      • admin February 11, 2014, 9:54 AM

        Thanks for clarifying that! 🙂

        • Chi-bacca February 11, 2014, 10:32 AM

          No problem 😀

  • Brad February 10, 2014, 8:49 PM

No one seems to be mentioning the poster promotion starting March 10. The last similar event, in May of 2012, had the Avengers poster, so I’m hoping for a DC movie poster this time around. I collect the movie posters that LEGO remakes in their own style (not the original designs, like the Hobbit DoS poster) so that’s what I’m most looking forward to, and it’s free, so that’s even better.

    • admin February 10, 2014, 9:02 PM

Brad, thanks for pointing that out. Yes, those posters are actually really fun and I know several people who collect them. I hope you get yoru wish and get a DC movie poster. 😉

      • Fikko3107 February 11, 2014, 8:20 PM

What kind of poster can we see? The Man of Steel poster with the flying Superman? The Man of Steel teaser poster with the brooding Superman? Or maybe, the teaser poster for Batman Vs. Superman with a brick-built Superman Logo over Batman’s?! Nope, sorry, I can’t see them making DC poster.

        • Brad February 12, 2014, 2:03 AM

I don’t know what you call the “brooding” Superman poster, but if it’s this one: http://i.imgur.com/vV2yVEH.jpg
then they already made it and I already have it. We’ll just have to see what they have in mind for this upcoming one.

          • Fikko3107 February 12, 2014, 6:40 AM

Actually, yeah, that’s exactly what I meant. Besides, why so sure there will be one?

            • Brad February 12, 2014, 5:03 PM

I’m not sure, I’m just hopeful, and I base my hope on the last time they had a similar event, but with the Marvel Super Heroes line, in 2012.

  • gid617 February 11, 2014, 7:26 PM

I was at a LEGO store not too long ago and hit a couple of the February promotions – including one that’s only on the back; build something for the display rack and get this promo: http://brickset.com/sets/5002041-1/Accessory-pack . (It’s pretty nice, I like that it comes with an ice cream cone.) Not sure if they’d be picky about age.
The piece of resistance does look rather useless. Turning it over I couldn’t think of anything to do with it – but maybe I’ll find some use for it eventually!

    • admin February 11, 2014, 7:55 PM

Oh, that’s a really cute set! Haven’t seen it before! 😛

      • BLProductions February 11, 2014, 8:57 PM

That’s surprising, as Brickset has had that accessory pack for a while. But yeah, it is a nice set. 😉

        • gid617 February 11, 2014, 10:20 PM

The promotion started mid January (I think the 20th), and runs I think until the end of February.
I thought it was nice that both little vehicles convert – though they don’t look so great, it’s a nice realistic touch – plus gives you a few nice extra pieces!

          • Håkan February 12, 2014, 6:02 AM

Hmm, I built something for the display rack (in front), but I failed to get the promo. Maybe it wasn’t available in Copenhagen, maybe I was too old, or maybe I failed to ask… =/

            • gid617 February 12, 2014, 9:43 AM

We had to ask. I put one of my younger siblings up to it…

              • Håkan February 12, 2014, 10:03 AM

                I’m 33, my little sister is 29, but she hadn’t come along… =/

                • gid617 February 12, 2014, 10:29 AM

Lol! I got the ten year old to ask for it. Actually, I still had to remind the employee myself when I went to checkout. At first I wasn’t even sure if they were doing it, but she had them right in her apron pocket!

                  • admin February 12, 2014, 10:57 AM

LOL! Growing up sucks, isn’t it? At least at the LEGO store. When I go I always try to take a kid with me, who can look up at the LEGO employees with big longing eyes and ask for favors. Then we split what we got. 😉

                    • gid617 February 12, 2014, 2:40 PM

                      Haha, there’s an idea! 🙂

  • Kho March 5, 2014, 10:28 PM

    Would you ship to Malaysia!

    • admin March 6, 2014, 10:09 AM

      Kho, who are you asking?

      • Kho March 11, 2014, 10:53 PM

I just want to buy bcos some Lego set in malaysia don’t have.
