This is the first time two sets are released at the same time in the LEGO Ideas category; the #21109 LEGO Ideas Exo Suit, and the #21110 LEGO Ideas Research Institute. • Viscouse August 1, 2014, 10:28 AM

Exo suit was already sold out as of this morning! Boooooo!

    • admin August 1, 2014, 11:15 AM

It is not sold out. It is backordered until the 15th. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • NinjagoNerd36 August 1, 2014, 7:25 PM

*punches self, many time* I completely forgot about it! O= I am a terrible person. I guess I’ll wait until the 15th! ๐Ÿ˜€

      • CaptainChespin August 2, 2014, 4:43 PM

So there are going to be more of the mech?Whew! Everyone on the LEGO message boards are freaking out because they’re all sold out. XD ๐Ÿ˜›

        • admin August 2, 2014, 5:39 PM

To be honest, I don’t know. All I have heard is that Mark Stafford said there is only going to be one production run. I have also heard that there are only 10,000 copies made. I’m not sure where this second piece of information comes from and if the source is reliable, but it would be crazy if LEGO doesn’t meet the deman and make more.

          • CaptainChespin August 2, 2014, 11:23 PM

Exactly. Everyone so desperately wants one. With a thing like Mr. Gold, that’s understandable, but with this amazing set… =/

  • Dinnerbone1132 August 1, 2014, 12:07 PM

I just stayed up all night to get it. When I got to it, there was only 320 left!

  • Dinnerbone1132 August 1, 2014, 12:08 PM

I meant the exo suit. Sorry!

  • Dinnerbone1132 August 1, 2014, 12:11 PM

  • BLProductions August 1, 2014, 12:42 PM

Ah, at last, the rest of the Technic for this year!
My brother was up at 7:00am, and he found the Exo suit already out of Stock! ๐Ÿ˜ก At least they’re restocking it. ๐Ÿ™‚
Definitely want the B-wing, Exo suit, and a Chima set from this wave. Otherwise, I’m still saving up. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh, and admin, you forgot the mention the Architecture Trevi Fountain. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • admin August 1, 2014, 4:53 PM

The Exo Suit actually showed as out of stock almost immediately after it became live. I think this is just a tactic by LEGO to make sure people don’t get disappointed if there is delay in their order. I have bought sets that shows as out of stock many times and in fact they did ship right away. So no need to panic yet. ๐Ÿ˜‰

As far as the Trevi Foundain, I didn’t mention every single set, but I should be writing a review on that sometime soon. Maybe next week if there is nothing else exciting to talk about. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • admin August 1, 2014, 4:53 PM

Oh, and I noticed that you are just as addicted to smileys as I am!

        • BLProductions August 2, 2014, 9:11 AM

Yeah! ๐Ÿ˜€ Oddly, this is my favorite: ๐Ÿ˜• . ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m not panicking about the Exo suit, but I am concerned about its availability around December.
Also, about the Trevi Fountain, do you have it? It’s a very nice set (though w/ a few faults). ๐Ÿ™‚

          • admin August 2, 2014, 10:35 AM

If you are considering getting the Exo Suit for Christmas, I would still get it a bit earlier. Like in early November. This way you can make sure they aren’t selling out.

Yes, I do have the Trevi Fountain. Got it back at the beginning of May, but I haven’t built it yet. I was preoccupied with other sets since then, but since you mentioned it I put it on top of my list for a review. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Kim August 1, 2014, 12:49 PM

I really want that Research Institute but I’ve go the vendor room at Bricks By the Bay coming up and we were going to visit the Lego Store while down there. Ugh decisions, decisions!

    • Kim August 1, 2014, 12:50 PM

Ho, I just noticed Research Institute is out of stock already. Craziness!

      • admin August 1, 2014, 4:56 PM

Yes, both that and the Exo Suit. I have called and I was told this is just a precaution as they are flooded with orders for both sets. The rep told me they are getting in a large shipment of both sets on the 15th. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • admin August 1, 2014, 4:55 PM

I think you should be able to get it just fine. BBTB is this weekend, isn’t it? I have heard that LEGO stores have a large stock on both the Research Instritute and the Exo Suit, but they are also limiting customers to one per household, so I think you should be able to find it. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • Kim August 1, 2014, 6:14 PM

It’s a week from now. I’ll be there on Sunday the 10th.

        • admin August 1, 2014, 6:44 PM

Do you know someone in the area who could pick on up for you to make sure you don’t miss out?

          • Kim August 1, 2014, 7:25 PM

No, unfortunately I don’t. But I’m ok with it. I figure if it’s that popular they’ll keep restocking, at least for a while.

            • admin August 1, 2014, 9:00 PM

It would make sense if they would keep the new sets around until at least Christmas. At least I hope they do…

              • BLProductions August 2, 2014, 9:05 AM

I hope so too, as I’ve decided to wait until december to get the Exo suit. ๐Ÿ˜•

  • I love the chima sets!… new speedorz designs though… look kinda ugly and non lego. ๐Ÿ˜ Also the Star Wars sets look amazing! I really want the star destroyer.

Off topic: I bought the “Good Morning Bilbo Baggins” minifigure off ebay last week. Should come today! ๐Ÿ˜€

    • admin August 1, 2014, 4:57 PM

Oh, nice! I love that Bilbo minifig! And yes, the new Speedorz are different, but some kids told me they work better. I don’t know. I don’t have any of the new ones yet.

      • Lloydguy August 2, 2014, 12:36 PM

They are really cool and more LEGO-like than before, because you have to build more. I got the Inferno pit and I was sad to see that the Chi Fluminox has is not fire chi, just orange ๐Ÿ™

        • admin August 2, 2014, 4:22 PM

Oh, that is sad. I really like those CHI orbs and collect them.

  • Kim August 1, 2014, 1:48 PM

I can’t see the “fine print” on the Mini Mini Cooper. When does that promotion end?

    • BLProductions August 1, 2014, 4:15 PM

Well, it looks like August 17, but on Lego Shop it says the offer is valid until 11:59pm EST on August 31. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • admin August 1, 2014, 4:59 PM

It says on the 31st, or while supplies last.

  • ShadowPixl August 1, 2014, 2:08 PM

Speaking of new sets, did anyone else hear about the possible return of bionicle in 2015? Lego even hinted at it- now if you search up Bionicle on Legos website, a “coming soon” page will be there instead of “page not found”. It sounds like a rumor, but I tried it myself and it actually works.

    • admin August 1, 2014, 5:00 PM

Yes, at this point it is pretty much confirmed. One of our TFOL members is writing an article about it. I will publish it next week. Then we can discuss it further. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry Shad and I are the same person- I just got glitches into the “duplicate comment detected- it seems as if you already said that!” page.

      • admin August 1, 2014, 5:01 PM

Yes, if you hit the submit comment button twice you will run into that. Please note that your computer catches pages, so it may take a minute for you to see your own comment, however everybody else can see it just fine. No need to try to submit it again. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Dinnerbone1132 August 1, 2014, 8:55 PM

I did not get the email yet confirming that the exo suit shipped. Can anyone help? ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin August 1, 2014, 9:02 PM

There is nothing unusual about that. Please do not worry. I often don’t get a confirmation email until several days after I place an order. Since you placed an order today I would expect that you will get a confirmation email sometimes mid-next week. Or, if you placed it this afternoon and it was already back-ordered, sometime around the 15th.

      • Thinkmonkey August 2, 2014, 6:35 PM

        Thanks!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Thinkmonkey August 1, 2014, 9:17 PM

im on a different account, but it’s me, dinnerbone!

  • Jinxie Jaymes August 2, 2014, 5:30 PM

I got two speedorz, fire vs ice and frozen spikes. If anyone is thinking of getting these, get them, they are really good

  • ninja5 August 2, 2014, 5:50 PM

Brickforge is undergoing a huge change. They hardly sell historic stuff anymore. They’re basically turning into another brickarms with modern combat and WWII stuff. I’m frankly disappointed that I can’t build a bigger roman army… ๐Ÿ™

    • admin August 2, 2014, 5:55 PM

I have seen some of their new stuff and I know what you mean. But their Roman accessories are still there and you can still buy them. In fact, now they even have printed Roman shields! Also, I would suggest that you check out BrickWarriors. They have a very large selection of Greek and Roman accesorires and they are amazing quality. Ryan used to work with BrickForge as far as I know. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • ninja5 August 3, 2014, 7:53 AM

Huh? I looked at their roman shield section and they only had the police shields. Also, all historical helmets are sold out or retired.

        • admin August 3, 2014, 9:57 AM

Oh, I see what you mean! That’s strange! I was just at their store last week and everything was still there. I planned to buy some more shields. They are probably just sold out, because many of their modern military stuff are also shaded out. I did find some of their historical and fantasy elements in the accessory packs section. I might place an order for some of those that I haven’t gotten yet. Are you active on their forum? Maybe it would be worth to ask.

  • Superweapon August 2, 2014, 6:10 PM

    Admin no new article today?

    • admin August 2, 2014, 6:15 PM

I didn’t publish anything new today as I know a lot of people are shopping right now. Plus we usually don’t have the regulars around on Saturday, so I thought to skip a day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • Thinkmonkey August 2, 2014, 6:34 PM

Hmmmmmm… I’m running out of stuff to do this summer.

  • Thinkmonkey August 3, 2014, 12:15 PM

Off topic: Does anybody know if Benny’s SSS will still be around in September? I’m planning to get it in that month.

    • Jinxie Jaymes August 3, 2014, 4:30 PM

I probably will, unless everyone buys it and it’s sold out forever ๐Ÿ™
